And he said:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Job 1:21 (New King James Version)

I remember years ago playing the original Bioshock 2 and loving it. I always felt it was very unfairly judged and was not only worthy of the Bioshock name, but in may ways surpassed the original. After replaying this Remaster, I can safely say not only was it as good as I remember, but after going though both Remaster, Bioshock is actually better in my opinion. The story, twists, gameplay, level design, and artstyle really just seem better. I very controversial take I know, but I am being genuine. Bioshock 2 is a masterpiece.

Now that I've gone on about how great it is, it's only fair to point out the flaws, and there are three that I came across.

1. I crashed 2 times, once costing me two hours of playtime as the autosaves are only at the start of a level and I crashed for the first time at the end of Siren Alley and once more early on in Fontaine Futuristics. The second crash was in Fontaines office which is early on, so little progress was lost at least, but I will just put these locations here in case you happen to crash here as well. I expected more crashes given how many people talk about the crashing issue, but two is actually not too bad minus the lack of autosaves.

2. I once got stuck in geometry, and had to die to get out of it. There were for sure more spots I could have gotten the same level of stuck so try to avoid corners and props.

3. The last issue is far more annoying then major, which is that during wave spawning events, enemies will spawn behind you with no logical explanation. Setting up proper traps only to have enemies spawn in the same room 5 feet behind you is annoying and on higher difficulties would likely cause serious issues.

Overall, while its still rough around the edges in places, it should be great, and hopefully you don't run into the amount of crashes many others do. Highly recommend.

Edit: Forgot about Minerva's Den, have not played the remaster version, so I can't say if its a good remaster, but the story is the best in the series and the new gameplay elements were fun from what I remember. Likely worth a shot as well.

Update: Finished Minerva's Den, only 1 crash half way though. The new gameplay is great though I forgot how short it is. Still worth getting for the story and new gameplay.

By far one of the best co-op games I have ever played. The personality, the game-play, the amount of options, its amazing. I have spent days going though this game from the actually missions to the customization to strategies, and more. It is a game that understand how to be fun and has so many small and unimportant yet wonderful things to mess around with. Easily recommended for both solo and co-op.

Honestly, it's better then I expected. It might seem... strange based on the store page, but trust me, it's not what you may at first think. It's a difficult and story based game and while it's clearly aimed at a somewhat niche audience on the surface, it's actually a game that anyone who enjoys difficult and/or story focused games would like. Don't be put off by the furry aspect of the game as it's more then such. While it's at times suggestive, it's never overt or pushy and while it's original English translation has a few errors, it actually adds to the charm. For the creator and musicians first game, it's honestly amazing. The Soundtrack si great and the story honestly got me invested. Sure it took me nearly 11 hours to beat a 1-2 hour game due to it's difficulty, I never gave up and honestly, it was worth it, in fact, it might even be one of my favorite games now. Would highly recommend.

When I first got Payday 2, I expect to get, maybe a dozen hours from it, clearly, I got more then i expected. Due to solid base gameplay, interesting situations, and great customization, I find Payday 2 to be a worthwhile, if sometimes janky experience. Of course, it has an annoying amount of DLC, much of which feels too much like it's needed for the game experience, but even with out the DLC, the game in it's current state is great, and with Overkill continuing to update the game, even after no longer needing to, it still offers a great time.

*Edit* Apparently Bethesda has removed GFWL which makes Fallout 3 able to run on modern systems. This is good, but does not change the fact that it took years.

Firstly, it took me 9 years to finally get this running. Selling a none functional product for 20$ is ridiculous. I understand it's still able to work on older systems and that Bethesda has no financial reason to update the game for modern system. That in itself is not my problem with the game though.

My problem is it's a mediocre game for the effort needed to get it running and it's price/age. I love the Fallout franchise, it's a wonder game series and I genuinely appreciate that Bethesda brought it back to life. Fallout 3 for it's time was no doubt worthy of it's praise and I would say for sure it deserves respect. The problem is nowadays you can find equal if not better products even within it's own franchise, if you want Fallout 3, you might as well buy New Vegas instead. You would get more and better content. Fallout 3 also seems to mostly have Saturday morning cartoon voice acting that clashes with it's story and visuals. The old joke of Fallout 3 being "Oblivion with guns" holds far more true then I expected.

Despite all of this, why do I rate it as a recommendation? Simple, it's still worthy of respect in it's own right, and while I might be heavily disappointed in it, I can't say others would be. I would cautiously recommend it to those interested. If you have a system running Windows 7 or later, you will need to find fixes for it, like i said, took me 9 years to find one that worked for me, though you should have far better luck then me.

Overall, this is a decent attempt to re-add a lot of content. Sadly, despite some of the enjoyable aspects, overall the experience is fairly unchanged from the original, even for someone who's been playing Half-Life for most of their own life. This is not an inherently bad thing, it just might be disappointing to some who expected a more Half-Life alpha experience.

A majority of changes are minor changes/placements of lighting or slight changes to level design. There are also five major changes that come with this mod, those being:
The Human Sergeant/Military Gunner enemy.
Vortigaunts being able to resurrect their dead.
A few first person animations.
A few H.E.V. voice lines.
The original menu and Valve intro.
The cutscene of Freeman's capture.

These changes are a mixed bag, and while I do not blame the mod creator for these, it's fair to say some of this content was removed for a reason.

Overall, I recommend it only to hardcore original Half-Life fans, interested in seeing how a few simple changes impact the game.

I feel like they were really trying to make a good game, but the skill was just lacking.

Simple but enjoyable. Basic color memorization and running that gets more steps added in as the levels move on. Great for trying to help with quick memerization skills and/or patience.

Edit: Already beat the game in 75 minutes, was enjoyable, though I did write down the letters and switches when I needed to in order to make it much easier. Even if I did not write the answers down, it would still be fun. Also it has a nice basic (4 simple beat songs) soundtrack.
