Right, ok, so I know I'm no big name person here but I'd figure that I'd say what I think about this DLC. Personally, I actually kinda like it. But honest it's barely a reccomended cause of one major point that I'm sure everyone else has already pointed out. So first, lets start with what I like. The weapons are unique and honestly, if it wasn't for the fact I cheated and already modified the values of most my weapons, are actually pretty well balanced, the bolt caster is kinda fun, the axes look awesome and the pistol...unfourtantly is underpowered compared to the modded values so I don't really use it, still, it looks kinda cool like a flintlock, which I'm guessing is what they were going for.

The armor, what I've seen of it, is also kinda cool looking, though it does look like something a modder could come up with but eh, I actually have fallen in love with the Viper armor, though I haven't gotten the archeron and the R.A.G.E. suit is still being built, but what I've seen of them? It's intresting...not really 'oh I'm going to use that' intresting cause, honestly? It could be gold plated and give me money and if it doesn't protect agianst ♥♥♥♥ I'm not gonna use it. Still, they look good and so on.

The customization has honestly made me a little happy as well, now that I can have a squad of ADVENT troopers which, honestly, the helmets look rather good with the predator/E.X.O. suits. I will admit though I'm a tiny bit upset that they didn't take the chance on this to actually give Xcom an upgrade to make a better, enviromental suit based on the Andromedon or bring back the MECs. Perhaps in a future DLC or something.

The story...well...Unless killing the Archeron king stop it I really can't say much there, otherwise it's kinda lackluster and, truth be told, kinda peeves me that I restarted my game just to see the narritaive when, in truth, there's so little story besides what they say about the aliens themselves.

Now for the one, major bad thing. The bosses themselves. Most people know about the Viper King and his annoying frost spit, but in truth he's honestly a child compared to the Berzerker Queen and Archeron King. Most the Viper King will do is summon minions then make a break for it when it gets too dangerious. (Though, granted, my modifying armor/weapon/stats might have something to do with how easy I'm dealing with the bosses.) Still, I rather am partal to the color blue and honestly I think he's amazing looking, if a little trivial given the first time you meet him, thanks to bradford, if you get swarmed you can easily kill off all the other vipers and still deal some damage to the Viper King himself. Agian though, given I think I had mag weapons and predator armor in this point I really wasn't sweating it too much. Also, granted, the Bolt caster knocked him out before he could escape the second time, after escaping me from the caves you first meet him in. My sniper finished the job and got his armor.

The Berzerker Queen was more annoying than anything, given the mission I first faced her in was one where I had to get one of the dark VIPs. Most she did was, after blowing a hole in the wall to speed things up, was run out and do an AOE before my sniper could melt her HP to a point where she ran off. Granted though, she knocked out one of my units so at the end of it I only had one unit that could actually attack, given I had to carry two knocked out characters, the VIP and my grenader. When I met her the second time on a outpost defence and I had most of the beam weapons and power suits...which honestly I'm REALLY happy that I modded them to have three armor or the three hours I took fleshing out my, at the time, ranger would've been for naught, given she used her AOE twice right on top of him. Agian, it was my sniper to the rescue before she could knock him out. The R.A.G.E. suit I think still has 19 days on it and it's going to my other ranger with the axes.

The Archeron...The Archeron I can only say reminds me of one of those kids way back in my childhood days that have the overpowered attacks during mockfights, like the break anything sword or block everything shield. Another reviewer actually said it quite well. "He has an attack that aims at all your units, yet you can only move one out of the way." I get it, challenge, but that just pretty much makes you choose what unit you like the most. What pissed me off the most though was that I didn't have a choice cause, guess where I met him? While I WAS ESCORTING A VIP! I didn't have a choice cause I HAD to move the VIP out of the way of his 'I'mma hit everywhere with rockets!' attack. Worst part is that this was pretty much at the beggining of a mission where, when I found him, I skulljacked a codex which also brought in an Avatar. Needless to say? I was really, REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lucky that I modded the weapons and armor, otherwise I would've lost four characters I took about six hours on total fleshing out their backstories and two majors to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad luck. I don't know how much health he has left but I'm looking forward to finding out where that little ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ran off to so I can kill him and be done with the bosses. And I hope that I NEVER have to go through bosses like that ever agian. Honestly the only thing that would've been WORSE is a Sectopod or Andromedon or, god forbid, an Avatar king.

In summary, the fact that the Kings/queen can move after every action is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, weapons are kinda cool but one is kinda just stupid, and the bosses are so unfair that I even realise how hard they are given I have trouble with them with modded armor and weapons. 6/10 This DLC has made me hate Dr.Valhen for more than just yelling at me about using grenades.

Edit: I've gotten all three armor sets and made sure there was nothing more the DLC had to offer in the way of weapons/armor/bosses. and in truth my score drops from a 6/10 to a 5.5/10. Mostly cause for all the trouble the Archeron boss gave me he still bothers me in the grave given that the Icarus jump the first time I used it made my game crash and computer lock up. Perhaps it was cause I was listening to jazz in the background, but honestly no other ability in XcomEO or XcomEW has ever caused this, music or not. So 5.5/10 The Archeron king is still finding ways to screw me over.

So I completely decided to rewrite my review, to write a bit of a 'letter' to Bethesda.

Dear Bethesda,

Hi, you don't know me, but I've been a fan of your games since I first picked up Oblivion back when it first launched, and I absolutely fell in love with your games when I was first told of Fallout 3 a month after I finished the main quest in Oblivion. I have preordered Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4 cause, in the case of Skyrim and New Vegas, I had come to trust you to be a company who actually listened to your players. You were the company to go to when I wanted a laugh from a glitch, weither it be people in skyrim swimming and floating or backwards flying dragons, or Oblivion's/New Vegas' kicking corpses or terminal velocity items (Usually teddy bears/soulgems) or simply being able to game oblivion's stealth system by maxing out chamelion and sneaking everywhere.

But really? My love was New Vegas, the game you 'produced' with the help of Obsidian (aka you let them use the Fallout 3 engine and they made a beauty of a game which only really fell short cause of quite a few things you guys refused to either let into the game or wanted it to be released in half the time you had to work on Fallout 3, thanks to skyrim.) If I was to say all that made me fall in love with Fallout New Vegas I'd probably run out of text in this 'review', so I will simply cut it short and say that, even now, the only gripe I have about Fallout New Vegas is that it was built with a poor engine and didn't have a chance at being what Obsidian wanted.

But this is not why I completely forgone my previous review and sat here for half an hour, no, not cause I wanted to talk about my past with your games. No. I'm writing this 'letter' as a way to say ♥♥♥♥ you. Now, why am I saying ♥♥♥♥ you?

Creation Club.

You said no mods that were already made would make it onto creation club, but obviously blantiant Ripoffs and poor remakes are fine. Why do I say that? Your Backpack mod has about fifty better copies, I've SEEN better Stealth Armor with much MUCH more features on the nexus, and honestly the guns? It's a poor selection for what you, as a company, are capable of. But the breaking point?

"Sentinel Control System"

Sentinels is pretty much a paid-for version of a mod called Patriot that came out a little while ago (Aka 2 years), and there was another mod that was just like it even further back before you guys released the Creation Kit. While yes I can't remember the first mod to come up with the idea and yes I know that ideas are a dime a dozen, know what's also easy to know? Looking up to see if someone ELSE came up with a free version that's better than yours first.

Look, Bethesda, I know ideas are hard to come by, but as I stated in the Review beforehand? You're offering an inferior product at a price that honestly I could buy a new indie game for what you're charging for a notequest and a single GUN. I could buy Enter The Gungeon for the same price as some of your creation kit packs, hell I could get a 40 dollar GAME for the highest price of your Creation Club Credits and even then if I'm right that's like, what, five thousand? What can five grand of those credits get me? A suit of power armor, the Nuka-Cola-Addict skin pack, and maybe a few guns?

I'm not saying that the Creation Club is a bad idea, I blantiantly hate it yes, but honestly if the credits were either cheaper or you got more bang for your buck, like a thousand for a dollar or something? Or if the paid mods were actually worth the asked-for price? Then I could see maybe it being worth paying for, or even using. That, and the fact that nearly every single item on the Creation Club's page has already been done and DONE BETTER! You have entire QUESTS being made for free mods with voice-acting and new places to go to (sure not EVERY ONE OF THEM) at most with a worth-it item at the end. Your 'best' mod for it's price is that one solar-gun or whatever, and that's a note quest that takes you to an overpass and only has one gunner to even kill. A five minuite walk, and even then that's IF you can't understand the 'puzzle' you added, and you get the 'Better' weapon that honestly can't stand up to anything Vanilla.

This isn't the Bethesda Game Studios I know you can be guys, I know you're better, hell it's OBVIOUS you're better given the games you HAVE MADE. But your paid-for mods are honestly outshone by free ones and you're asking for prices I can get an ENTIRE game for an extra skin or gun that would be replaced by the Splatter-cannon cause, honestly without a Legendary-Crafting mod? The Splatter Cannon and Problem Solver are the best guns in the very late game, cause they're the only guns that doesn't take hundreds of rounds to kill a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ raider.

Please seriously reconsider the Creation Club, or at least come up with ideas that are worth the prices you're asking for. Make "mini-DLC" as you put it, give us a quest that can take more than an hour to beat, give us some proper weapons and armor that are actually worth it, but for the love of all that is holy PLEASE don't keep going down the path you are going down, I already know that all my friends think I'm crazy for wanting to give Fallout 76 a shot thanks to Fallout 4 and the Creation Club.

Skipper.

PS. I didn't write this 'letter' for bethesda to see, I know it won't be, I just wrote it for Catharsis.

10/10 as frustrating as beating your head in...

...No seriously, if you want a frustrating, not fun frustrating, but frustrating frustrating experience, I cannot reccomend this game more. I've only won once, and it was on a match where I had no other bots. You'd expect people who had their previous home destroyed and forced onto an hostile alien planet would try and band together to work, but even when they're on your own team they are reluctant to help. It's near impossible to keep morale up cause you run out of food and minerals quicky and your habitat runs out all too soon as well, not to mention if you even try to build a nice mine, farm, or even a luxury condo (ha ha just kidding,) the local wildlife, which some call the other factions, will gladly rip them up and toss them aside, and don't even get me STARTED on the damn aliens. Try and defend your area and then eventually everything will adapt to your own defences and, say for example you have equipment that allows you to kill soft, fleshy opponents, they'll bring in machines, lets say that you have machines, they'll bring in missles and other equipment that is useful agianst them. Now don't mistake me for "WAHHHHH I WANT TO BE STWONG!" or some ♥♥♥♥, I enjoy a challenge, I really do, but this is almost impossible to win cause, surprise, everything wants to kill you or wants you dead, as I can guess on your teammates if you decide to put people on teams...

Now to be honest, the game is kinda fun, but if you're expecting to last past everyone else, pray to RNG jesus to give you a good, defendable area and hope the much stronger aliens/factions have a really hard time getting to you, which I assure you, they wont.

I want to, oh how do I want to, but I can't write a positive review for this. It runs fine, the graphics are nice, but here's the thing...You don't play a game for graphics, I don't care who you are but if you give a positive review for this game, I'm calling bs. I'll give a few pros and cons that I have encountered in playing this.

Pros:

Graphics are better than the origional/Lost chapters.

DLC stuff (Trust me I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel with these pros for this game)

Personal Pro: You can dress up as a guard and beat up people with a Lute, I love that.

Personal Pro: It stays true to the story/doesn't add extra bs to an already told story that isn't needed.

Now for the Cons:

Buggy menus, I cannot tell you how many people I've talked to where its impossible to buy certian items cause, when I press down on my keyboard, it would instantly snap back up. I am forever Chicken Chaser with a normal haircut and normal beard cause of this. Hopefully this will be fixed one day but as for now, not happy. One other thing I nearly forgot, you have to have at least one item in one of the equipment tab if you accedently buy too much and you want to sell a few back. Sell all your sellable items in one of the tabs and you won't be able to get back into it without exiting the traider's menu and retalking to them, which if it was any proof in the origional Fable or The Lost Chapters, they usually decided to talk your ears off before you could talk to them agian, leaving you to simply wave till they shut up.

The animations are daited and it shows. Sure, The mouths move more naturally but holy ♥♥♥♥ you have one of those demon children stare at you or one of those really stiff guards talk to you its almost like your in a world filled with robots.

Buggy Combat, I found this out fighting wisper and the wasp queen. I would hit wisper several times then suddenly she decided she didn't want to be hurt anymore, actually blocking some strong attacks till I eased up on her and decided to put away then requip my sword, giving her a free hit on me in the process. The wasp queen was a diffrent story, after hitting her several times with my Crossbow, suddenly she was invinceible to it and I couldn't use it anymore, even after unequipping and requpping the crossbow, thank god they start you out with lighting as a spell, though I nearly died to her cause of this. Agian, may be fixed, but I never once got hit in the origional fable unless I made the mistake of trying to block a power shot, or my mana shield went down. Not. Happy.

Now I understand that's four pros and Three cons, but keep in mind that two of those Pros are personal and those cons are pretty damn big. Let me put it how I explained to my friends about the Fable franchise.

Fable, the origional fable, was a nice girl, and when she told me about The Lost Chapters, she was very "adult" when she talked about it, we still call eachother sometimes, but we've moved on.

Fable two was the kind of party girl, the perfect girlfriend who had everything almost completely perfect, even with how she ended. we still hang out on weekends and she still knows I LOVE the blunderbuss/Greataxe combo and her jokes never fall flat for me.

Fable three is the girl that forced me to play by her rules with her guns and weapons, a cruel woman who would usually tell me I have to be evil to get the most out of my weapons. I told her no, we don't talk anymore.

I have never met Fable Journey, so I will not say anything about her till I have.

Fable Anniversary is a tart that trys to act like Fable, saying that she's better looking. Sure, she's better looking, but she acts way too much like Fable that, honestly, it makes me sad that I decided to actually buy her things thinking that she would also act better when its quite clear she doesn't. I'm not planning on talking to Anniversary and I'm going to talk with Fable.

TL;DR I am an idiot and I do not like this game, buy the origional fable, fall in love with Fable two, but don't buy three or Anniversary. If you really wanna try it, get it as a gift, you'll feel less like you waisted your money if you do.

If you saw my previous review for Metro 2033 redux, then you know why I cannot recommend this game. I cannot with a clear mind say that this game is worth it if you have the same setup as me, unless you want to not see the guys shooting you, don't want to see walls, don't even want to see most of the game. I don't know on this one if I'm the only one having the problem, but from what I can tell from some of the complaints for the redux of Metro 2033, its either a realitivly new problem or its just a really small case. Either way, I feel like I wasted 50 dollars, and I would like to say unless your fine with only seeing probably half the game? Go on and buy it, play it, so on and so forth, otherwise wait for a patch. Once more, it saddens me to not be able to play this game, but my sadness is easily replaced by anger when I could've gotten something else I know would've worked rather than thinking it would and finding out after I bought the game it doesnt.

I'm sorry, really I am, but I cannot say with all honesty that I would reccomend this game. My laptop is a windows 7 Asus with an Intel i5-2430M. My ram is 8 GB, a 64-bit OS, and no matter what I do some things do not load. I don't seem to be the only person with this problem and I'm not sure if its just cause I bought the bundle rather than the games seperatly, but I spent 49.98 for it and when I'm going through the intro I don't see miller, the ladder, artyom, or even my gun. Now, while I may find it a bit amusing for a few seconds that I'm a ghost using telekenisis to hover a few bits of gun up, I do not find it amusing to spend 50 dollars just to learn that I can't play a game. I've yet to try out Last Light, but if the problem is the same then I'm dissapointed that I spent 50 for two games I can't even play. I loved Metro 2033, I really did, and its a bit heartwrenching to put a negative review up for a game that added more to it.

Right, so this is more of a maybe. As nearly everyone knows, this game is still in Alpha, and really its incredibly fun, if frustrating, as an alpha right now.

The Pros are as follows:

1. Its good at what it does, which is a Simulation of yourself building, managing, and running a prison.

2. Its rather comical at times, even moreso for myself when I zoomed in and realised that everyone talked! Least from what I can tell.

3. The names of the prisioners are rather comical too, least to me anyways. Afterall, who names their kid John Johnson? no offince if your name is John Johnson.

4. The econimical system is MOSTLY balanced for an Alpha.

5. Its addictive, not going to lie. I don't know what it is about this game, but you can literally sink quite a few hours into this game, afterall, I thought I only played it at most for eight hours, says right on the "My Activity" thing its clearly 26.7.

...Now unfourtantly for the Cons, keep in mind this is more for the ALPHA of the game and IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE, its just for now if you find these Cons a little too much, wait till its out of Alpha THEN buy the game.

1. It doesn't really seem the Workshop is really working with the game. I thought I would much like to start off with one of the little starter prisons, not sure if its cause its in alpha 20 or whatever but it doesn't really seem like its working at all no matter what I do.

2. The AI and pathfinding seems to be VERY off. Mostly it showed up when I was building cells or using the Copy tool, the only stressful part was a lot of times I had to tear down a wall to get them to put a door on the bit of wall right beside it, which when your trying to either keep inmates inside or build an area for them? Well a big gaping hole in your wall really won't help. As for pathfinding, I have had several guards go from their patrol spot in front of the Staffroom walk around the cells, through the canteen and medbay, walk past the Generator/water pump, outside of the prison walls to walk a full lap around it, then back through the Visitor area to finally get to the Staffroom to rest. Now honestly this has only happened once, and really that situation was funny enough I actually added little voices to them as they walked along. What wasn't funny was when my Workers decided to stay in the Storage room while I had several tasks for them to do, or when my guards decided to simply open the gate while a few inmates was rioting, letting them escape. I cannot tell you how many times I had to start over all cause my workers refused to work or how many games I lost prisoners thanks to "Corrupt" Guards.

3. The startup, and really this is only a personal issue. When you start up the game, you don't get a title screen, all you get is the developer logo and then boom, you're in the game. Now I understand for some people this isn't a problem, and I know a few of you would simply tell me to just load a diffrent prison, but when you are half asleep and you think "WHERE THE HELL IS MY PRISON!?" And start a new game only to remember that you had a save with said prison? Well I'll admit its kinda stupid for me to say it but a simple start screen would be nice, with the typical "New game" "Load" and "Quit" options. Perhaps even "Options" or something.

Now, that is pretty much my review of this game, I personally am going to wait till its a little further along like Alpha 25 to start playing it agian, and really don't take my cons as a way to say "The game is bad." No, for 10 bucks and if you like Simulation games, its rather fun, simple, but fun. I don't regret spending 10 dollars for this game, I just regret not having the money to buy the 50 dollar teir. Before you ask how I only spent 10 dollars for this game, it was on sale.

Now before you think that I'm just yet another person who's going to say "Blah blah blah game bad me smart" I'd just like to mention, what it seems like pretty much everyone else has said, this game isn't finished. Its no "Day One: Gary's incedent", the story, what little there is, actually makes sense and you roughly get a turtorial, not to mention the game is kinda pretty, but I for one side with the other naysayers. Now I'm not going to say "NEVER GET THIS GAME!!!1!" Or some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like that but I will say atleast wait till way later when all the bugs are ironed out and perhaps its better excuited with some of the things going on in said game. I'll admit, personally, that I feel as if I wasted money buying this game. Voice acting, modles, and so many other things are more of a MMORPG quality and needless to say reminds me of when I played WoW, where I felt like most of the game would be more for flying around shooting things.

Though I will say spending 20 minuites watching my missles fly through something I killed, along with every last plasma bolt I shot? Not too happy with that. Again though, least wait till probably 2015 to think about buying this game.
