Boy I sure do like playing a single player server that says it can be played offline just to have it not only lag horribly but also randomly kick me while I'm in the middle of a rift mission. Boy it sure is fun that it's a well known problem that the devs don't/can't/won't fix. Boy I sure do love being blantantly lied to that the moment my internet drops the game is unplayable.

Edit: just reloaded my save and just realized the game pretty much killed all my fighters cause my internet dropped.

Nearly 100k+ Xanion, gone.

...MAN this game really is making me regret spending money on it.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game, I got it as a birthday gift and this game full on makes me feel like everything I do is pointless. I go and end up triggering an event? Oh suddenly I lost territory with no chance to fight them off and oh now I'm facing enemies that constantly drop to the ground even when they clearly state they're 'unaware' and wouldn't know they're getting shot at. Oh suddenly all the enemies go from able to be taken down with a basic merc group to not even sure if I can take them on with my best group.

Oh I'm not fast enough? I don't do it before a certain date? well too bad looks like I lose out on something else entirely and oops haha game loves to make it clear you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and antagonizes you.

I thought xcom pissed me off, but no. This game makes me actually mad. I feel bad that I got it for free and played it enough that I can't refund it, cause I kept telling myself 'oh it's just cause you are weaker than you're meant to be.' but no, the things making me mad are things that even other people are asking why the hell it's in there, cause sometimes it triggers, others it doesn't.

My first co-op game well around when I was lvl 94 was with a guy who dropped out the moment we lost half our lives, and I completed it solo.

You're welcome, no thanks to the guy who front-loaded everything rather than trying to cover the track.

Long story short, I was thinking of giving a scathing review..but honestly it's kinda obvious. It's a bethesda game with microtransactions, they want to make it a slog to play and make you pay money (For example, everything from five bucks for a 'pack bundle' or nearly sixty or more for one hell of a boost.) and judging by the other reviews, they also completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game's balance and stopped even touching the game sometime in October 2019.

Don't bother.

It's jank as all hell, I can get two-shot by a farmer, and the translation sometimes makes it hard to understand...

But at the same time I can punch a ferret hard enough it knocks them out before I feed them some meat and make them my friend.

So, awhile back this game plain stopped working for me so I just hid it and thought nothing of it, it was just another one of those survival crafting games that was popular a few years back.

Then I found out that hey, Snail games legit were cheating, banning anyone who were kicking their asses in PVP, and even going as so far as to spam their own game with bot account positive reviews when people dropped it from very positive to mixed.

Honestly the game's gonna die eventually so...yeah, treat it like a dead game and don't bother, no matter how cheap it is. Go ahead and ban me too if you want for posting a negative review, I stopped playing it when it stopped working for me years back and I'm not dropping a cent on this ♥♥♥♥ anymore.

Welp, I'll admit the game was fun, keyword being WAS, but now apparently it randomly decided not to work at all on my laptop. Literally has more than enough for it to run, no other game has the same issue that states 'it cannot find the right graphics driver' despite me trying absolutely everything, everything to get it working.

Don't bother, cause everything I've tried to find doesn't work. I'm done trying and I'm done with this game.

So, the game itself is fine if you ignore the bugs, kinda generous too, but honestly for as long as it's been out and how I haven't even gotten past the Dresden checkpoint due to bugs (except once, which I then promptly ran out of fuel cause I forgot to buy more, whoops) and yet my mileage counter, or whatever it's called when it's the Kilometer, is around 3k?

I can't reccomend it in good faith. Get a different game, unless you want something that will constantly kick you back to the start of your journey.

So, I decided to bite, I decided to play till the end of the 'tutorial' as someone said on their review, and I decided to play more.

Did I have fun? No.

Did I enjoy my time playing the game? No.

Don't get me wrong, there's a few ideas I have that could make the game better (an auto-equip function for one where your survivors will grab the best, or even second best, equipment you have in your stash, same goes with them automatically moving between owned settlements or even making it so your squad doesn't count towards the maximum people in the place) or other options that can take some of the micro off the player...

But that's not why I'm not having fun, that's just scratching the surface, minor annoyances that doesn't bug me much.

What does bug me however, is the bugs.

I had tried to capture the factory three times, something that seemed to be a mid-late game place with a lot of level tens defending it, I got to the relay once, and then something happened where I couldn't interact at all with things. I have had it happen to me, several times, to the point where I couldn't interact with anything, or attack, or even heal myself while the enemy kept firing their weapons.

Mercs will randomly dissapear then reappear elsewhere, which would be helpful, if it wasn't for the fact they tended to not follow my own main guy I was controlling, or having them help me with a base, rather than having it where they're following one of my random low level guys back in the first settlement.

Now, I don't hate the series, in fact Decision is one of my favorite flash games to the point I have 3 downloaded onto my ocmputer. I liked how those games played, and I would've liked it MORE if the game was more like that. If the person who made this game was the same people who actually made the previous ones, you had a good game, you had a game a lot of people enjoyed. This one feels like a cash-grab. This one feels like it's hardly tested or even in an alpha state, it feels bare boned, it feels incomplete, like there's stuff missing.

I don't know how to make games or how horrible it must be to move a system from Flash to unity or whatever, but are you seriously telling me that it wasn't possible to make it so even an experience system would be more, I dunno, helpful? Cause honestly it's really not fun having weapons that it feels like I have to unload three to four clips into a high-level enemy while they can kill me in a few shots, or keep me stunlocked and knocked around.

Call it bad RNG if you want, personally I call it bad design, even moreso when I, and everyone who has played the Decision games from the first one, KNOWS that they can be better.

TL:DR I kinda wish there was a 'maybe' option for reccomendations...

The main 'fault' of the game, if you even wanna call it that, is the armor system. You can stack up a LOT of armor onto your character, but late game it's...useless. A lot of people have pointed it out too that honestly the best thing to do with armor is to either ignore it and try to get weapons that pretty much one-shot enemies (who's armor ACTUALLY works, from what I gather), all the while working on evasion and health. They also made it so you can't do a 'new-game plus' which...doesn't matter for some players, but for others you can't bring your old Rangers back into the world. They kinda made up for it with making it where you essentally get 34 attribute points and 102 skill points (not including the ones you get from character creation) but sometimes you wanna take your pre-made badass back through the entire thing again and make different choices.

I, personally, don't mind it, but one thing I kinda do wish that they kept was how they did the Quirks in Wasteland 2. Cause honestly in 3 there's only one obvious anwser. That's the one that lets you resist all elements 100%.

No fire/frost/shock/poison damage, at all...with the only downside being a -5% to your experience...

Again, the games alright, if you're into top down-turn based games based in the wasteland, the more obvious faction bar I like as well, and I like that there's no real good/evil option given NPCs will kinda mention how, for example, killing cannibals or even what you consider your main foe? They'll chastise you for it. Make what you believe is the right choice and people will hate you for it.

Then, in the same day, you can go out and kill a buncha clowns in their big top. You can meet a little mutant who wants 'candy', you can meet someone who's part of the illumati, you can find a brothel that employs a goat and you can get mocked by two idiots who say that you should 'turn in your halo, it's getting rusty.'

So, in short, fun game, and obviously has the sorta wasteland/fallout feeling of having serious points while also having insane idiots who wanna just have fun with the world they've inhereted.

Edit: So, I finished the game. And I'll be bluntly honest.

It's...dissapointing, to say the least. I won't say HOW it ended (given there's a few endings, or least I thought could be ways to end it) but to put it simply? The DLCs were more difficult than the base game's 'endgame'. But not cause they have more skillful battles, but literally because the weapons I got, that could barely do anything except the bare minimum to the DLC enemies, mulched through anything in the last mission. It purely was a power trip, sure, but it really felt like they were building up something that had no chance at all to win.

My armor when I figured out the little 'trick' was pretty much impervious to what was thrown at me, the enemies I was placed agianst stood no chance. Sure I was playing on normal but...wow. Would I wanna play again? No, absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ not. Why? Cause the DLC are absolute slogs. Steeltown is more tolorable than Holy detnoation and honestly I just didn't want to ever deal with the cultists again, even moreso given how they seemed to get MORE spongy when I finished the DLC.

Would I reccomend the game? Now that I've completed it? Still a maybe leaning towards yes. It's an intresting little time waster and I did my best to do everything I could in one playthough, and obviously there's a LOT I missed, there's a lot of secret achievements, stuff I could do, but I feel like I got everything I wanted out of it.

It's an alright game, I guess a 7/10.
