Crikey, I almost 100%'d this little ripper of a game in just a week. Gonna give it an 8.5/10. It's a top-tier idler, but fair warning: there's bugger-all late-game progression at this stage.

Picked it up 'cause I had some downtime and thought, "Why not?" Honestly, it turned out to be a bloody good time. The standout for me was the Sandy Desert Farm—what a challenge that was! Trying to keep those crops alive in the scorching heat was like wrangling a pack of rogue kangaroos. They'd dry out faster than a coldie on a hot summer's day, and it really threw a spanner in the works for progression.

If you're into the farming side of games like Stardew Valley but can't be stuffed putting in heaps of effort, this one's for you. It's perfect to have ticking away in the background while you do other things. Plus, there's a fair bit of charm in its simplicity—like the kind of game you'd play while having a lazy arvo with your mates.

That said, don’t go in expecting heaps of depth once you’ve cleared most of the challenges. It’s more about the journey than the destination, you know?

Give it a whirl if you’re after something chill that’ll keep your hands free for a snag on the barbie.

Enjoying the Co-op grind (mind the glitches / bugs and unintended features). Just make sure to mod your game before playing or you're going to have a fun filled un-updated steam version from 2009 to play.

Borderlands 2: Still A Ripper After All These Years
G'day fellow Vault Hunters! After sinking an ungodly amount of hours into this beauty across different platforms, I reckon Borderlands 2 is still the king of looter-shooters. While the original was decent, you can jump straight into this one without missing much.
Why It's Bloody Brilliant
Look, Handsome Jack is an absolute legend of a villain - he's hilarious one minute and properly terrifying the next. The humour hits different, and somehow they've managed to chuck in some genuinely moving moments between all the chaos and laughs.
The gameplay loop is addictive as - shoot stuff, grab better gear, level up, repeat. But what's bonkers is how much variety they've packed in. Six different Vault Hunters who play nothing alike, more guns than you can poke a stick at, and skill trees that let you get properly creative with your builds.
Character Breakdown
Having maxed out every character (yeah, I need to get out more), here's the honest opinion:
[] Krieg: Your go-to for early game mayhem, but gets a bit sketchy in the endgame unless you've got specific gear[] Salvador: Basically playing with cheat codes once you've got him sorted[] Maya: A proper team player who can still hold her own[] Zero: Your bloke for both sneaky stabbing and long-range headshots[] Axton: He and his turret are reliable as[] Gaige: Wild as - stack that Anarchy and watch the chaos unfold
The Good Oil
[] The DLC's top-notch, especially Tiny Tina's - it's a masterpiece[] Splitscreen and online co-op still work a treat[] Mods are getting better by the day[] The cel-shaded graphics have aged like a fine wine
  • Getting 100% completion is a proper challenge but worth the effort
The Not-So-Flash Bits
[] Some endgame builds are about as exciting as watching paint dry[] Early game can drag until you unlock the good skills[] Inventory management's a bit of a nightmare, especially in splitscreen[] Some bosses are harder to crack than a frozen meat pie unless you've got specific builds
The Bottom Line
Borderlands 2 is still the duck's nuts of looter-shooters. The mix of laughs, deep gameplay, and sheer variety means you'll be playing this one for yonks. Whether you're going solo or with mates, there's hundreds of hours of entertainment here.
Pro tip: Start with the base game, get your bearings, then dive into the DLC - you'll appreciate it heaps more. And once you've wrapped your head around vanilla, the mods are like a whole new game.
Fair dinkum, it's a ripper of a game that's aged better than most. Even if you're late to the party, jump in - the community's still going strong and the game's as fun as ever.

Fun, amazing world building, Lore and exploration. I have played for a long them before Steam on Epic Games so a little biased as the world has grown so much!

Once you get to phase 4>5 may the pain begin of autism and calculations. Gave up and made a spaghetti base.

Spoiler free tips for new people: 2 things will be helpful early to late game, some more than others, A animal and a purple ore. look into what to do with them and may it help boost you into mid to late game faster!

"All achievements" is HELL! Just play Borderlands 2. it's everything good about borderlands 1 but improved.
This game is such a poorly made Co-op shooter with DLC that is literally Broken and boring.

If you'd like to revisit the 2009 hit, then do so, this is where it all began! it runs better than the original, FOV slider so it doesn't feel like a 2000's game zoomed all the way for you to see from your couch. Good balancing with skills and weapons, nothing too OP added besides gearbox weapons.

Play for fun, 100% achievements is not worth the pain.

DLC: - Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot "Terrible, LONG & Boring, this is a big avoid, literally 375 waves of enemies".
- Claptrap's Robot Revolution "Quirky, some achievements are bugged in this version of the game".
- The Secret Armory of General Knoxx "Driving simulator, is a okay DLC, new guns and bosses worth killing".
- The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned "Zombies, some funny Easter eggs but that's about it".

100% recommend Essentials Mod (Enhanced) from Nexusmods. simply being able to fast travel from where ever you are is a big time save.

This release has been neglected with a ton of bugs and glitches and the previous title never had issues with.

6/10 Entertaining. I'd say it's worth with its current discounted price $45 AUD. (Co-op Only review)
If you like a Retro Hack and slash, you'll like this game.
It is no dark souls and bosses feel like refrigerated butter but you can have a hot knife, if you know how!

Positives:
- Decent difficulty scale and variety of enemies.
- Co-op feels good, client side loot so no fighting over loot.
- Combat so far feels great even in co-op, different fighting styles for each unique weapon. cool combo stacking debuffs for harder enemy types. Some characters Unique skills feel better than others. as a mid to late game I'm only just unlocking skills for Amy.
- Movement is smooth, aiming required even with melee attacks for different Crit spots
- Character dialog can have it's hits, Irish Character is actually funny rather than whiny like Amy (Regrets).

Negatives thus far:

I had low expectations for this game and it met them.
1 play through then never to be picked up again.
New pay walling, if you want more story you need to buy the expansion.
Epic Games...

• I'm anti Epic Games and fortunately it's removable. but it gets re-installed after each patch though.
• Looked forward to play Co-op. Was stuck in forced tutorial that took a hour because aiming for 100% of all things before co-op was unlocked. can be done faster if your run through.
• Zombies spawns are like playing classic Cyberpunk 2077 police. turn around and poof a new zombie or look left and right and they just disappear. spawn rates are really high and quick re-spawning for areas you've just been in.
DEI - It's there, but not overly forced (Yet).
• Mixed Millennial cringe humour (Borderlands 3 writing vibes)
Final boss fight... honestly, getting up to use the toilet is harder than that fight.
Weapons hit hard, BUT... weapon progression is so poor. we only got our first legendaries towards the end of the game. they're not rare drops, you have to do side quests...
Mainly based on level and progress of the game. unlike upgrades, they are based on tasks/quests/side objectives/exploration/ killing x amount of a zombie type which is cool I guess.

Early Access Review
Good Follow up game to Vampire survivors, feels very good so far, can't wait to see the development cycle of this title.

100% Completion Review. (Recommended purchase price would be < $30 AUD with DLC)
Summery: Play once, maybe the second play through, don't try to go end game, as it ruins the experience of many of the positive aspects.

Positives:
• From Level 1 to 72 the gun play is really engaging, lots of different guns, different ways they work rather than your regular firearm.

• Environments and weapon design is quite interesting and engaging, some planets just have nice aesthetics.

Negatives:
Main Story Bad of course

Poor character design along with Borderlands universe, lack of quirkiness found in other games, taking it self too literally.

Unskipable dialog/bad objective design... Big issue with this game compared to other entries is that you'd be given the mission and dialog would continue with out the need for you to remain around, if you'd like to stay and listen or just leave to go do the mission you can. but in this game, you are forced to constantly over interact unnecessarily with NPC's or any other objectives in the game. examples are talk to one NPC they tell you to grab something, then you have to talk to them again, wait for them to talk, then get mission objective, it wastes so much time on a second play-through of the game that you feel like stopping.

Too many Legionaries! They're not even special just better than most of the other rarities... you have to filter through them to find what is actual good or not which is not a good concept.

Too many on screen affects. If you have epilepsy you are warned. sometimes you can't even see the combat happening in front of you.

Played with my cousin to 100%, enjoyed my time, but honestly is wasn't a good Borderlands game. I don't think I'll ever pick this one up as much as I did for both previous titles.
