I will review this in two points of view.

VR: I'M LIVING INSIDE AN ARCADE. PRETTY LIGHTS. LOOK AT THIS GAMEBOY IT HAS POKEMON! LET'S GO TO THE THEATER ROOM, PUT ON KUNG FURY, AND PLAY POKEMON. (Damn I wish I had friends with VR as well).

Normal: (Actual dialog that went through my head)
Me: Hey, lets play Metal Slug.
Friend: Ok, let's load up MAME.
Me: Say no more.
Friend: Oh, neat.

In all honesty though, this game is very cool for old-style enthusiasts. Sure it isn't 100% like being in an 80s arcade but the best part about this is you can design it however you would like. Put games wherever (ranging from MAME, to SNES, to GameBoy), put any movie in a theater scene with the 80s filter on top, and being able to do this online with friends is really cool.

I just wish more people played it, it is hard to find people who would play with me besides someone sitting right next to me.

A bullethell-esque, brutal, hardcore, platformer and boss-arena style game with the artistic style of old Mickey Mouse. It's like you took my favorite type of Mickey Mouse and mixed it with nice scenery, accurate and precise controls, and a soundtrack to die for. It's almost a perfect game.

Keep in mind, the game is BRUTAL. Even Co-Op it's still terribly difficult so don't stress if it takes you a while to beat certain bosses.

Its definitely a nice approach on a MMORPG. Definitely one of the best ones I have played.

MMORPGs are not my favorite genre of games (not even my top 5) but I did have a nice time playing.

Keep in mind I haven't finished nor will I in the future (I don't have time).

If you love MMORPGs go for it. It is grind-y and a lot of the time you are AFK but then again, have something in the background to keep your mind over. I like games where I can keep it in the background and do other stuff on the side.

My god... this game...

It's like Super Mario 64 had a kid 20 years after release and the kid loved his father so much that he started acting like him and when Super Mario 64 noticed this he became very concerned because he wanted his son to be better so he told him to think differently than him so A Hat in Time changed and became himself but also was very similar to his father.

If you lost track just know that this game is amazing and worth the price and worth everything.

(It also helps that 3D platformers are my favorite genre)

If you are a fan of the first one, definitely grab this one. If you are a newcomer, it is a fast-pace, eagle-view shooter that will keep your heart pounding and you raging all the time. And it's worth every single penny.

This game is so amazing. Buy it right now please. Then beat it as well. The story is riveting, the gameplay is stunning, and it's properly ported to PC. Every developer should take lessons from 2K for this masterpiece. I recommend it for $60, I recommend it for $100. I recommend it so much that I'd buy it again if I could. You know what, I might. be right back.
