Good family fun

At one point I walked through the same hallway 3 times in a row. Whoever is recommending this game must not like either video games or themselves.

It's hard to say whether or not I really do reccomend this game. In a vacuum I'd be obligated to say I like it, but as the conclusion to one of my favorite game series of all time, I felt a little let down. The character interactions and drama were overall great, but the wrap up just didn't feel satisfying. The puzzles were okay, but for the most part very easy. The characters often attempted to spoil the puzzles for me, but were too late, I had figured it out before they said anything. I only had one puzzle where I really had to sit and think about it. Overall I'd say the game is a 7/10 and despite being held back for newcomers, really should be played after playing the other 2.

Too many knives in people's backs.

Plagued with thoughtless design choices, like, did we really need a "mountain but not a mountain" tile? Miasma is a pain in the ass, and one affinity has absolutely no way to handle it. Only 8 civs and their abilities are not particularly exciting, all your starting choices feel less significant than choosing a civ did in other games. The tech web was cool though. Overall, for all it's flaws, the previous game was more enjoyable even given it's rough start.
