I do not often write reviews on games but felt i had to for this one.

I have seen several comments claiming this game is "pay to win" and this is simply not true. There is no way at all to purchase any currency or items in game with real life money. The boats you can get from purchasing the more expensive versions of the game might be slightly better in the first few hours of the game, but then they get easily surpassed by boats you can claim yourself.

The game itself is quite enjoyable, the boats feel nice, traveling is not a pain like in a lot of other games and it just generally feels fun, something that can be quite rare these days. What you want to do in the game is completely up to you, you can spend your time doing quests, doing pve against NPC fleets (solo or with friends!). PvP in this game is completely optional, but if you are of the type that prefers doing PvP to other forms of content you can do that and still progress just fine. PvP activites earn you an ingame currency that you can use to purchase resources that you would otherwise get doing PvE activites.

Overall a very enjoyable game, if they keep adding content to it I see a very bright future ahead for Age of Water.
