This game hit all the right notes for me. It doesn't have a lot of action, but it really does have just about everything else.

I 360 spin-kicked a racist in the head.
I died trying to punch a juvenile delinquent.
I went on a date with a sword-wielding fisherwoman.
I encouraged a musique concrete enthusiast to follow her dreams by rambling about Contact Mike.
I convinced a Hispanic Spiderman to set up a nightclub in a church.
Hispanic Spiderman in turn convinced me to give up drinking.

and I had a hell of a time doing it all. This is a game about world-building, atmosphere, and the interplay between the well-written characters that inhabit it. Definitely my GOTY 2019.

Cutscene heavy, but that's a good thing for such a story driven game. Patient players who pay attention to the plot will get the most out of this game. A perfect place to start the Yakuza series if you haven't played the other games.

Properly simulates the hell of Vietnam. Confusion. Anger. Regret. Disorienting viewmodels.

10/10 game but misleading title, should have been called "Buffalo Goring Simulator 1986."
