Early Access Review
A wonderful game that is great for killing time. The gameplay loop is very addicting and I often come back to play it again and again. I am actually excited to see what else they add to it.

An overall enjoyable little precision platformer that I think a lot of people who enjoy this genre is going to enjoy.

The pixel art is just astounding here. There is clearly a lot of effort that went into the art style that goes a long way. Everything is very well animated with a good field of depth that makes the game very presentable.

The music is just, excellent. It is a very good beat that changes up and never gets tiring throughout the entire game.

Controls were very tight and responsive, any mistake that I made was because of me and not because the game.

Once I got to the end of the game I did kind of wish it was longer, but for the cost its sitting at a nice balance for what you pay for. There are secret levels to go find which are very well designed and challenging. I really appreciate the throwbacks to older games as well with some of these secret areas.

If I was to add anything to this game, I'd love to see a sequel (ending maybe hinting at a coop version? ;b) but I also believe a map editor or a way to make your own challenges would benefit this title a lot and give the community something to play with after everything is done.

Overall, its a great game and I hope to see more of it!

Overall this game is very enjoyable. It is far better than what someone would think at first glance. The gunplay is excellent, better than most shooters. The dev team really did their work here. I felt the overall vibe of the game was great and it does a great job at portraying the memelord status that it represents. It is surprisingly longer than expected with quite a bit of secrets for playing through multiple times if you don't meet all the objectives in each stage. A lot of people who watched my stream commented about how surprisingly solid this title is for the cost.

Animations on all weapons were top notch with some excellent sound design. Guns sounded punchy and melee weapons were hilarious *bonking enemies with a frying pan in slow motion was especially enjoyable*. So kudos to the animation and sound design people, Good work!

For the cost its excellent, I highly recommend this.

As for the cons, the biggest issue I had was the final boss was a massive difficulty curve that could use some tweaking. There are some areas in the game where if you don't have a melee weapon to block bullets then you'll just be dying a lot. I had one issue where I had retrieved the golden rocket launcher secret, but I died immediately after and the game put me forward and I was unable to actually achieve the secret.

As for bugs, I didn't really encounter many. Just one that was a clipping issue with one of the secrets, but otherwise it was a very very solid and enjoyable game.

For a game all about memes for teh lulz, it does an excellent job portraying what it is meant to portray while at the same time giving some extremely satisfying gameplay!

An absolute gem of a game. Harkening back to days of the NES and the old Macintosh games, Beyond Shadowgate is the true successor to the original game and it couldn't be better.

The game expands on the original by leaps and bounds, more rooms, puzzles and overall world building. The puzzles range from easy to challenging and every item appears to have a use. There's a lot of modern qualities of life ex: discarding items when you no longer need them, that makes the game better than the older ones. I strongly recommend this game to anyone looking for a good, solid, point and click game. The music, graphics and overall gameplay is top tier if what you are looking for is a callback to the old point and click adventure games from the 80's.

Don't play this till the servers are fixed. They've patched this a couple times now and the servers are still complete and utter trash. The game is great, but it is completely ruined by the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ servers. Should have been peer to peer or have an offline mode or something. If you want your game to always be online make sure it -actually- can do that!

-UPDATE- okay, now that the servers are much better I am changing this to a positive review. The game itself is wonderful, always has been. But now that the server issue is much better I will gladly put this in a positive light. the gameplay is solid, everything works pretty well. They gotta fix some major bugs such as the armor not working right. I do appreciate the way they're doing the warband system and I look forward to the mechs!

An absolute gem. It improves on the formula that the original Remnant set up in every way. The story is mysterious and requires deep thinking to solve. Sound is great, music is great, gameplay is awesome. its a great game that people need to play.

Ravva 2 is an enjoyable little action platformer that overall plays well on PC that delivers on a lot of the Nintendo Entertainment System nostalgia while at the same time leaving you wanting a bit more.

The story is fairly simple, similar to the previous game and sets up the basic premise for the game with an intro and ending sequence, but nothing story-wise in between the levels.

The gameplay is fairly simple but is used creatively well. Essentially, move the character through the level, fight the boss at the end. Use your abilities to navigate through the level while trying to uncover secrets. Swap abilities abilities around quickly as you go and pick up unique powerups throughout the level. Its a simple concept but it is utilized well. The game has several themed stages each ending with a boss fight. Many of the bosses are similar in concept, but have unique attack patterns which are telegraphed fairly well. The game is short and sweet, not lasting too long, but with the price it is currently at, it fits well with the cost.

The level design is charming and mostly straightforward. Move from point A to point B. The design is varied somewhat between each level with secrets and relatively simple challenges to overcome. Boss fights are fairly straightforward with each boss having a unique pattern, but still relatively easy to figure out.

The sound design, like most of the game, is fairly simple but matches the theme of each level to an extent. Its enjoyable to listen through and didn't overstay its welcome.

Graphically the game follows the classic pixelated art style reminiscent of older games with a vibrant color pallet. Like all other elements of the game, there is an overall improvement in quality over the first game. Pixel sprites are often diverse to show off the theme of the level. Characters are easilly distinguishable with the bosses and main character taking the center stage for art and pixel design.

Overall, the game is short simple and sweet. It is an enjoyable time that harkens back to an older age of gaming. for the price tag I would say its well worth the purchase. The game does make you want more however and it is clear to see where more mechanics and variety could easily push the concept further. The ideas implemented in this game, while simple, are fairly unique at times and its clear to see that more can be done with them given time/money/etc. I am curious to see where the next installment goes, but for now, Ravva 2 is an excellent game well worth a casual play.

Okay, so.. I bought the ultimate edition of Redfall. I played it for two hours on stream with my friend. I rarely, if ever, refund games, even bad ones. But with this one, I refunded it and got my money back. It is NOT worth 70 dollars.. I enjoyed what I did play, but what I played.. was perhaps, the most.. ungodly newbie ass shooter ever.. I liked a lot of the mechanics and design of redfall.. but the ai was boring as hell, NONE.. and I mean -NONE- of the enemies were a challenge, not even close. idk what version IGN was playing but that was -NOT- what we got.

We were playing on normal and nothing was a challenge, everything died in a couple hit. We were getting the top guns dropping left and right.. half the time the ai would just sit there and let us kill em. Most of the missions we played were simple go here, kill x I think eventually itll be good, but.. it needs a lot of work.. the characters were very interesting and unique.. but their abilities broke the game.

My friend had the teleport ability and -any- terrain design was negated instantly due to the low cooldown rapid nature of teleporting.. any tactical reasoning was just negated instantly. Stealth is a joke, completely not even necessary whatsoever.. the shell of the game is great, but I refunded that ♥♥♥♥.. and I don't do that lightly. If AAA publishers think, that we are just gonna pay 70 bucks for broken, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games, they need to pull their heads out of their asses. Cuz I can go and buy a game from an indie dev team at a tenth of the cost and get far more enjoyment, longevity and willingness to financially support them, than the f'n crap we are getting from triple A publishers.

Essentially, wait for an extremely deep sale and just wait and see if they do anything, cuz the game right now is not even remotely worth the price tag.

This game is something that has been worked on by a group of devs who truely care about their craft. While overall it is a very straightforward run, jump shoot, kind of game. It mixes things up with its stylish slow-motion, wall running action. It harkens back to a time when the Matrix was popular and we all wished we had this kind of gameplay in our games. While we came close back then, Severed Steel really nails it. Add in the variety of weapons and custom levels and you have a game that is just a solid all around, pick up and play good time.

This game has been in development for some time and it just keeps getting better. Interesting characters, roguelike gameplay mixed with borderlands style weapon stat randomization, all in all just a great time.
