If your Game cant catch someones attention after 10 Hours its just plain bad and Boring. Overrated. Astral Chain 100 Times better and PlatinumGames Magnum Opus.

As much as i Love the Main Game and DLC 1, this right here is just an Arcade Minigame with a BS Subway Surfers Knock-Off.
I Hope 3 and 4 Will be better.

I would like to love this game since I'm a fan of CRPGs, with Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous being my favorite. However, Baldur's Gate 3 has some insufferable problems that killed the joy of this game for me:

One of the major letdowns is the decision to implement a Bad Roll System for individual characters instead of party-wide rolls—a choice that undermines the cooperative essence of traditional role-playing games. Why would I build my party around being spread out in proficient skills when only the main character gets to talk or interact in forced dialogues and is sure to fail some skill checks, while the cleric right next to me, proficient in Religion and likely to roll better, is just looking at me?

While in some sense, yes, I can put a rogue ahead to lockpick a door or chest, at the same time, the main character does a lot of skill rolling, and it was even patched that the player character is the preferred choice for those dialogues.

The multiplayer was one of the worst experiences we've had. We decided to split our party into two groups so we could each control two characters and have a more immersive RPG experience, managing the whole team with two playstyles. My main character was a Warlock with high Charisma, handling all the dialogue talking, much to the dismay of my friend. The worst part about the coop is that you don't play as a whole group; instead, you play as two parties that are part of the same group. With two original characters and one companion from the game, we got locked out of interactions between party members and banter while journeying. Some dialogues involving a specific party member were locked out for us when Party A, without that companion, started a conversation while that companion was in Party B. A prime example: Wyll was in Party B while I was starting the conversation with Karlach for the first time. Wyll was silent in the background, and only after we reloaded and switched him over into my party (B), did we get the interaction between him and her.

Act 3 was just the final nail in the coffin for me. It feels like a forced restart in the major city and namesake of the game. The journey itself was quite enjoyable with highs and ups, yet in Act 3, it was a long and slow stretch to make it feel like any progress was made. By the time you reach this area, you are close to being max level and will not gain anything from further experience if you did a lot of side content.

Overall, it might be a good game for casual players or new players of the CRPG genre. It has some good aspects, like the characters being a major selling point and the interaction with your spells in combat and out of it, making it possible for some creative usage. Yet for me, it's not the holy grail of gaming.

Cyberjunk 2007 can only dream being as good and addictive as this game.
