Finally, a Cave shooter on Steam. It is like a dream come true. The port is very good, with only a few hiccups being reported (none of which i have personally experienced) but the developers appear to be very active and in fact they have already released a patch to fix several of them. The only caveat is a lack of resolution options. The game is set at 1280x720, same resolution as the Xbox version. I'm positive this will be addressed, but in the meantime you can use the GeDoSaTo utility developed by Durante (the same guy who gave us the wonderful Dark Soul fix). At high definition, the game looks very neat and sharp, like God intended!

As for the game itself, this is one of Cave's best shooters and it oozes quality from every corner, from the vast array of gaming modes each offering unique bullet patterns to memorize and navigate through, to the complex scoring mechanic, all the way to the great visuals and music. Already clocked 8+ hours and will probably spend countless more trying to master all the various modes. There's even a novice modality for those new to the genre. Highly recommended.
