A bit of Destiny 2 and Warframe, but unique enough to be its own game. I'd recommend just going through the campaign first. The story is ok i suppose but the voice acting is really good.

After that the game is about grinding for weapons, upgrades, descendants, xp, gold, etc..either through matchmaking, or just joining in if someone is doing an active mission, etc.. though you can do it solo if you wish.

You get stronger so you can tackle on the harder intercept bosses, maybe even do the new season 1 invasion mission. Rinse and repeat.

This game has crossplay with Xbox and PS5. Matchmaking takes around a minute or less which is nice.

I did spend $20 USD to get more preset slots because when you have multiple different descendants it makes it more convenient.

This game has kept my attention for quite a bit and I still feel like I have lots of stuff to do/ accomplish.

1) Issues with the lobby. If the lobby is full, but 1 person leaves because he wasn't able to play the family/survivor member he wanted, don't like the map, etc.. the lobby will not fill back up. This happens quite a lot; in my exp if I load in as bubba, someone from the family will leave; and then the whole lobby carnival starts again.


2) Victim queues are very long, family queues are instant. Not a lot of people want to play family, and would rather play victim instead. All my games have been quickplay, and 100% I joined in as family. I don't have the patience to queue in as victim for the 1st time.

Way too many victims, way too few family. This means the game is horribly balanced in the victims favor. This usually spells death for an asymmetric game.

3) Even through all these issues, with the lobby bug, and the victim queues being so long, just like DBD you have the teabagging at the exit gates, etcc. You would think with family members being low supply, they would cut out the bad manners, but I guess they don't care about the future state of the game. They know new players are coming in from the 3 day free weekend period, yet could care less that this is just another thing to turn off new players.

When I get in a game, i generally have a decent time. But I know that this game has no future and will soon be dead and when the 3 day free weekend it up, itll be uninstalled off my PC.

Depending on who you ask, you'll hear stuff like killer OP, survivor OP, swf OP, solo queue sucks, the game was better years before, game is toxic, blah blah etc etc..

While some or many of these are true depending on your perspective, at the end of the day, this is still a good game. Many asymmetric PVP games have came and gone, but DBD still holds the crown. Player base has been consistent steady throughout the years.

Don't let the huge amount of DLCs overwhelm you; just get the base game, play both killer and survivor and see how it goes from there.

Mindlessly repetitive. Plays, looks and feels like a cheap mobile game.

Multiplayer is alive, so you could share that same experience with someone else.

The single player campaign was alright. Gunplay felt good with the dodge rolling. Story is forgettable.

Found and played co-op horde mode with 2 other people; they had voice com, i just used chat. Finished all the waves and while it was fun, and quite long, don't have the desire to revisit it.

Co-op campaign seems like it would be fun, but unfortunately trying to find a group is very rare; i was quite lucky to have found the co-op horde group by happenstance. There is no crossplay with playstation and xbox players which would have definitely helped the online component of this game.

So unless you get very lucky trying to find a random group, this is mostly a single player affair. Unless of course you play with friends, i'd imagine it would be quite fun.

This game is priced at $50 USD, which Is not worth it, but this game gets deep discounts at $5 or less pretty much all the time. It's enjoyable, just get it at a deep discount (90% or more)

I don't play a CCG to play BOTS. I understand that once you reach infinite rank, only then will you be placed with other human opponents.

I don't have the patience to grind out 3-4 hours per day, for several days playing against bots to reach this rank.

There are four types of weapons: projectiles, lasers, orbitals, and explosions. Explosions are extremely OP compared to the other 3 types. With explosions, it makes it trivial to reach stage 40 where the final boss spawns. As long as you have a few explosions in your arsenal, you should do just fine.

If you want to try a build centered around either of the other 3 weapon types, it takes quite a bit of luck especially if you don't have the credits to banish a lot of the cards out of the pool.

The crux of the issue is, the enormous amount of different cards in the pool. If you are going for a particular build, even with having the max of 20 banishments, it still would take a bit of luck to get most of the upgrades you want.

It just feels bad and frustrating when you keep missing the cards you need even while you are banishing the cards you don't want. Increasing the number of choices to maybe 6 instead of 3 would have definitely made the RNG factor less frustrating.

Another issue is your ship is relatively speedy. The enemies attack by bum rushing you from every angle. You have to be quick on your reflexes while you are zooming away that you don't ram into an enemy ship or projectile in front of you. It feels like it needs a slightly more zoomed out look. You do have the option to turn off enemy projectiles and has a game speed slider ranging from .75 - 1.25. This is a good compromise though.

I'd give it a neutral rating because the frustrations really takes away from the gameplay. Overall I did still enjoy the game, so thumbs up.

If you played CCGs before, you would feel at home. Not overly complex, but just right. Aesthetically pleasing with polished gameplay.

As with the bane of all CCGs, RNG makes or breaks the game. The one frustrating fault to this game is some cards have a 'damage a random enemy' component to them either when you play the card, or you trigger the effect. 99 times out of 100 you need it to hit the enemy troop, and NOT the Warlord. It just feels bad that if the enemy only has 1 troop out, you still only have a 50/50 chance of hitting your intended target.

This feels especially bad when you miss your 50/50, and on a different turn, you miss your 50/50 again. At this point I just feel like rage quitting the game. This RNG factor also doesn't feel good when your opponents consistently miss their target; winning like this is not satisfying.

An easy fix to this would be if all of these 'damage a random enemy' effect was instead changed to 'damage a random troop'. That way if the enemy has only 1 troop out, it will 100% hit the troop.

Other than that, I am enjoying this CCG even for someone that doesn't know or care for the Warhammer 40K universe.

Disclaimer: I've haven't played Vampire Survivors yet or any of its clones. This will be my 1st time playing one. Gave this a shot since I saw it was free and had really good reviews.

Game is very fun. I would imagine if these are your types of game, you would enjoy it too. Loads of characters to choose from each with their own stats, starting weapon, special attack, and 3 skills that are unique only to them. From this you will be able to figure out which combination of weapons and items will work best. The wiki helps too.

After every run, you get coins that you can use to upgrade your 'overall skills'. I'm at the 5th level which I only beat once after 5 tries. this game can be very challenging. not sure how many total levels there are though.

This game has a 2nd part that is 'life sim' where you have a house and can fish..and get some buffs.. but life sim stuff never interested me, so I really have no idea how this part of the game works.

It's very colorful, and the music fits the theme. I don't know any of these holocure virtual streamers that these toons are based from, which didn't seem to be an issue.

Good game, its free, but most importantly it will be worth your time, even for someone that never played these types of games before.

not that bad actually. got it free from Fanatical when they gave it away for a few days.

every wave, zombies and such spawn and you kill them. between waves, you can spend you money to buy new weapons, upgrade your weapons, buy new fortifications, and repair your fortifications.

4 classes, but only 2 are really useful; the engineer and specialist. you also get XP that you can use to upgrade your skill tree.

not to worry, the multiplayer is alive and well. you can either host your own game and wait for ppl to join, or join in on the other player created games. not an issue playing from NA and joining/having other players from EU, Asia, etc.. ping will be high but its a co-op top down shooter so latency isn't a big deal.

overall, its a fun game that is/was worth my time.
