After delving into the High Rank gameplay post story I believe I'm finally at a point where I can make a review.

First off a heartfelt thank you to Capcom, Wilds has been amazing and the game is gorgeous, the boss fights were epic and the theme music is so well done. Definitely giving the title a 9/10. It lived up to the hype after waiting for a new title for years!

My PC specs: Ryzen 7 7800x3d, AMD Radeon 6800xt and 32gb of RAM. Not crazy high end by nowadays standards.
I downloaded the high res texture pack and ran this game at the Ultra preset with Ray tracing set to low and frame generation on and set to performance.
Ran the game at 1440p with and fps locked at 60, only during some moments it dropped a little below it but it ran at 60 perfectly fine the entire time.
Most likely a lot of people that posted reviews about bad performance didn't even take the time to turn down the settings to make it more playable.
My friend played it on an old gaming laptop with all settings to low and still ran it at 100fps+ so it really is just a skill issue.
The game did crash every second or third hunt initially after which I went into the compatibility settings and checked the run as administrator box and verified the game files, ran smooth as butter every since, only crashed one more time after a 10 hour long session.

The game is gorgeous on the highest settings, the characters are like-able (looking at you Worlds handler..) and the story is a good 15-20 hours depending on your pace, sure some cut-scenes are long and sometimes having to walk somewhere slowly with your Seikret definitely add onto this, but it's a story for gods sake, I don't understand why everyone wants to rush through the game to get to high rank as fast as possible, enjoy the scenery, enjoy the details of the wildlife and how everything is handcrafted among a generation that's so used to generated terrain games.. the long rides with the Seikret are perfect for this.

The meh;
It's too bad they still don't have a perfect system for multiplayer into the game and having to join a friend after every cut-scene, being kicked out of the environmental link. However it's already a big step-up from previous titles, there just not quite there yet. Comparing it to previous titles it's still a win however, so that's how I'll look at it.
Palico utility customization or commands being removed is too bad, they're still useful but we just miss being able to direct them ourselves, or at least changing or choosing the utilities they provide.
Definitely missing a personal spot to showcase pets and fauna that were caught in the game. Makes it feel pointless to actually go around and catch things.

The way the story ends is nice and definitely opens up a path for the DLC to have a proper base instead of these base camps where the fleet can settle and we can get our own department. With the addition of Squads there's an opportunity there to make a squad area where you can hangout with your squad and customize it's interior.

Either way Capcom has already been adressing some issues and they're actively working on fixing things, for the difficulty of the game they're already having even more challenging content in the works. Besides I think people tend to forget that in previous titles the difficulty usually came around after Master ranks were added. Low and High rank were never incredibly hard.

If you've liked Runescape but didn't like doing everything manually, especially those braindead skills.. This is the game for you. It's basically a Runescape idle game with more new stuff in endgame.

As it's only a GUI, visually it's not that spectacular, however they've done a decent job at keeping the UI clean and easy to learn.

Fans of idle games will have a good time with this one, definitely worth grabbing the base game and all DLC, HOWEVER, don't get the Abyss DLC right away, that DLC only clutters the UI and you'll only actually get to it's content after defeating the base game (this will take quite a while mind you), until then it's more of an eyesore. Unless your pockets are burning and you need to spend your coin, wait with getting it.

Great little game, about one to two hours of gameplay depending on how active you play it, looking forward to see what the creator is making next.

For the price including the DLC, definitely worth the pick up if you like collecting and unlocking loads of stuff.
There's so many characters to try out and different weapons to try and combo.

It can be a bit grindy if you want to unlock everything fast, but if you play occasionally it's very do-able.
I've just completed all achievements, definitely worth the price.

At first I dived into this game pretty much blind, thinking it's another rogue-like that I'd enjoy slashing my way through.
But then the story got to me, and it actually got really deep and some interactions with other characters really make you think about some things..
Definitely worth picking up at the normal price, if it's in sale and you like roguelikes with a wee bit of story, a must have

Completed the game within almost 10 hours (normal difficulty), including getting all achievements (the all voids one was by far the hardest)
Overall I've enjoyed this game, there's quite some collectibles you can get and there's hidden stuff around almost every corner. Even for later stages when you get an emote or skill that lets you reach those hidden areas or loot.

Definitely worth picking up in sale, it's a good platformer with an interesting story. If you like RPG's with lots of running around to collect more stuff, this is definitely a title for you!
Worth picking up at 40%+ sales

After spending 20 hours of my life into this game, getting it to a 100% completion achievement-wise and with in-game item collection.
Swag and Sorcery is a fun little game if you like games that are semi-idle. just laid-back grinding, you could even do others things while your characters fight.
How easy your run will go is heavily RNG dependent, mostly with character traits though.. some are really really good while others are kind of a letdown..

I think most of my time is spent farming, comparing items A LOT and quite some theory crafting and farming to get a good roll on a specific item.

In my opinion Agi + Stam stats are the strongest combo to have. There's not a lot of gear (especially endgame) with high base INT or STR stats. Vamp really helps you through later levels and if you combine vamp with a high Regen item (the first really strong one you get is called "Leather and Skin" and is found in the smithy gives up to 60%) on your frontline character, (s)he just won't die.

I'd pick this up in sale if you're interested in it.

It's not finished, and there's been no updates since the last time I played it (Mar 2017) so you could say it's abandoned.
For a single developer still a really good job though, the game is pretty decent and fun for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles, but I wouldn't recommend getting it, unless the dev picks it back up again, don't bother.

This game is crazy addicting, the learning curve is also rather high.
The cool part is that there's around 150 relics and arcana to collect, you'll be busy for a while!

Co-op is really chaotic, but it definitely has it's charms!
