The story is....not v good at parts but I'm having a blast. Soundtrack S tier, demon interactions S TIER, nahobino cute asf too and I'm loving the exploration :3 V is def my second favorite SMT now.

My fave SMT is 4 tbh (hopefully 5 changes is amazing when it finally comes). (had to put this as a second comment because of the character limit! I talked too much about smt4 already apparently lol).

Yeah there's classes, but you can respec at anytime so it doesn't really matter what you pick at character creation. You can just try a bunch of different stuff whenever you want, I really love the freedom. That game is S tier imo, even more fun in co op because there's friendly fire.... :D I teleported one of my party members into lava just because I could. Ofc they died instantly lmfao.
