just buy it!

I completed the game 100% on Nightmare difficulty.

This campain is the main selling point of the game. Doom is focused on mindless killing but has very interesting lore behind the events and all the demons and such. On higher difficulties it is not accepted to stand still or you will die, so it rewards an agressive playstyle. The weapon custumization is also very interesting and every weapon supports different playstyles.

Personally I didn't really like the multiplayer (i am not a huge fan of multiplayer games, except TF2) but can definitely see why some people would like it and some don't. But I wouldn't reccomend the multiplayer. Another annoyance with the game is that it has achievements for multiplayer, pretty annoying when you're in it for the singelplayer.

So if you like the classic Doom games and are not interrested in the multiplayer i would still recommend this game.
