No matter how I look at it, Baldur’s Gate 3 might be my favorite game of all time. Every game I play now feels like it’s competing with the level of love and care put into this one. Even after 500+ hours, it still feels like I’ve barely scratched the surface.

This game rewards you for slowing down, learning its mechanics, and truly engaging with its world. The single-player experience is packed with consistently high-quality content, and with the modding community, its replayability could rival games like Skyrim and Fallout. The sheer variety of builds, strategies, and ways to approach encounters keeps it fresh, and mod support takes this even further—adding new classes, mechanics, and difficulty tweaks that let players tailor the experience to their liking.

My one major critique is that the game becomes very easy, even on its hardest difficulty, once you understand its mechanics. But the real joy comes from the role-playing, the deep class system, and the satisfaction of seeing your choices impact the world. Combat isn’t just about stats—it’s about creativity, and nearly every battlefield feels like a puzzle where thinking outside the box is rewarded. Larian thought of so many possibilities, making every playthrough feel dynamic and responsive.

For those looking for more challenge, Honour Mode and mods can push the difficulty further. But even beyond that, the game’s heart lies in the experience of shaping your own adventure. It’s the kind of game that raises the bar for RPGs moving forward, and I can’t wait to see what else the community and Larian do with it in the years to come.

This game has really sunk a good deal of my time away. I have nothing but the best words to use in describing this. It's casual but still has a good deal of skill needed to be successful. It's not for everyone, but everyone should try it. It may surprise you.

Update: I am now well over 600 hours on steam and 400+ hours on my switch. No matter the platform this game still continues to surprise and entertain me.

There is now a card game coming out that Edmund McMillian created that is based on this game. http://foursoulsspoiler.com/

This is still the best game I've ever played and this surpising large community is helpful and commited.

CS:GO Review
I am one that generally does not enjoy the FPS style of games. There is just something about Counter Strike: Global Offensive that makes me not able to put it down. You feel like becoming a better person is the goal of the game each time: you get a "clutch" victory or even die in a bad 1v1. This is a skill based shooter! The game is not about getting a new scope for your weapon... Improvement of yourself as a person and understanding how things work. I cannot recommend this game enough to anyone I talk to.

If you want to become a better person and learn about discipline, self-respect, and teamwork. You need to try this game!
