Incredibly good. Almost convinced me poker is a good game.

Went in a little scared because of reviews, but it has been awesome so far! If it keeps things up, it will be easily GOTY for me.

Also, if you are having crappy fps, turn off all of the Nvidia stuff and change your resolution to TAA. Went from a rocky 30 fps on a 4080 super to easily 90+ fps.

The mods are pretty nuts.

A very interesting city builder that does things differently. The biggest standout feature to me, was the fact that literally everything decays. Filling a house with furniture can bring happiness to the inhabitants, but requires continued production of furniture in order to keep the house furnished.

This mechanic extends to every aspect of the game; Research can go both forwards and backwards, meaning that once known technologies can be forgotten if you don't have enough laboratories and libraries working.

The game definitely isn't perfect, and has some issues (difficulty spikes for a new player are a little rough) and there isn't as much information given to the player as I would like, but it gives a quite different experience fom the average city builder, which I appreciate.

While the game has several fun ideas in it (designing your own ships, building stations to mine resources, etc) it is far to grindy to enjoy. Likewise, the supporting aspects of the game are subpar, combat isn't very engaging, mining isn't very engaging, trading is tedious, etc. Some systems such as the way you earn turrets and modules seems gimmicky and luck based.

What primarily concerns me, is some of the recent drama regarding an old moderator and the Boxelware Staff. I'm not 100% sure there aren't more sides to the story, but from the looks of it Boxelware has made some pretty horrible statements against Christians and other groups they have perceived as evil (If you are interested in researching for yoursefl other reviews have posted links to the information.). If I had known about this before purchasing the game, I certainly would not have bought it.

This game is one of the rare examples of a tycoon game that doesn't just turn into "do you want to win fast or win slow?" It really feels like you have to be aggressive to stay afloat as inflation, invention, and the world changing all try to force you into obsolescence.

One small suggestion I would really appreciate is if there were a (by default off) option to allow buying out other players (maybe even make it a clientside option so only companies that want to "pvp" can buy out each other, a la terraria's system). Me and my group of friends would enjoy being able to do a "last business standing" style kind of gameplay.

I became overpowered really quickly, unfortunately my friends did not. While I was flying above the sky with essentially Thors hammers they lived as peasants working by day and hiding by night, calling me to save them. It was the closest I think I have ever felt to being a real superhero. 10/10 for the most unique experience I've had in a game.
