The visuals, sound design, writing, and combat mechanics were all stellar. I only had a single fight in the game that didn't click with me. Even then it was because of personal subjective preferences, and the design choices of the boss were clearly polished and intentional. I'd absolutely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys 2D Souls-like Metroidvanias.

Hands down my favorite platformer of the last decade

Story so deep I spent dozens of hours playing it only to realize I was only four or five story missions in. Everythiong is equally in depth.
