I have given this game nearly 15 hours so far, to try to be fair and objective towards it as much as possible. After 15 hours I can confidently say, I do not recommend this game.

Lets talk about the pros...

Graphics: The games graphics are actually pretty decent. Nothing that will blow you away from a fidelity standpoint but overall its "okay". However, the world design is so ugly, that you end up hating the graphics simply for showing you the ugly details of the world the art director thought was beautiful. For a modern game, it holds up graphically for the most part.

Exploration: This game does exploration VERY well. I found myself focused more on exploring every little nook and cranny of the map to try to find all the hidden chests, gear and items available to find. Some even led to secret quests or bosses only obtained by exploring the areas around you. This game does that very well and is the most fun i had with it.

Dialogue: SOME dialogue options really show the strength of obsidian but unfortunately those are too far and between. There are choices to make in this game that WILL Actually effect your story so be careful of the decision made, but the result from that feeling of discovery when you first realize that soon fades as it becomes repetitive and predictable.

Now the cons...

This game is literally Temu Skyrim. Dollar Store Oblivion. It so desperately tries to wear the skin suit of skyrim, but misses all the small details that make skyrim..well...skyrim.

Game play: The Game play in this is unbelievably MID. It is so dam mid i actually wish it was worse so I can make fun of it. The game plays it very safe offering little to no complexity to combat. A few skills here and there, but ultimately not much to go over. I've also created a mace stun build that essentially stunlocks everything and anything I see with ease including bosses, rendering the combat dumb and meaningless. This game suffers from the feeling of "mid" so bad in almost every aspect.

Story: The story is so boring and forgettable its dam near laughable. The dialogue is cringe and usually very bland with very little flavor to it at all. The dialogue between the NPC's are also boring and repeated a ton if you run into the same NPC's in different areas. Overall as i was playing the game I felt very little care for the story being told.

Combat: The combat in this game is extremely mid, riddled with Jank animations that the developers are trying to pass off to you as a feature. The director of this game said that gamers should expect jank with her game and she was not lying. The game is riddled with bugs and jank that would make bethesda blush even once.

Ultimately this game clearly is meant to be a dumbed down RPG and a dumbed down version of skyrim for those who thought that game, which was dumbed down from oblivion; was too complex. Its not a super bad game and its not a super great game.

It is literally MID in every way imaginable and i highly recommend waiting for a super sale before picking this game up. Chances are it will be on sale within the coming months anyway.
