good fun

One of my favourite games at this point, extremely fun to play if you're into geopolitics and history. There are so many paths to take, which can lead to drastically different outcomes. Will you choose to be a benevolent leader who embraces democratic ideals and will do anything to better the lives of his people? Or will you be a ruthless dictator who imposes order and suppresses dissent through terror? Or will you try to see out your dream of a communist utopia? Will you be a man who puts his family above all else, or someone who has no time for such frivolous matters?

This game will have you making meaningful choices throughout the campaign where different choices will lead to logically plausible but vastly different endings. Just like in real life, you can not hope to fix every issue within the country. You must pick and choose what to prioritize, which neighbouring countries to ally, what policies to adapt, what economic projects to invest in, who to surround yourself with and much more. Almost every choice matters, and the consequences of your actions are clear in game and if something you planned succeeds, its a very satisfying feeling.

If you're even moderately interested in politics, geopolitics, or historical sims I'd consider this a no-brainer to buy, especially since it's already pretty cheap. Man I love this game, there's no other one that scratches quite the same itch.
