Very good game. The campaign is a large step up from Arma 2 being both interesting, enjoyable, somewhat challenging and free from annoying AI leaders and teammates. Multiplayer is varied with both casual servers and clan servers with large battles occuring. The maps are both beautiful and varied, it is also a good template for mission makers. The main part of Arma III, however is the mods and missions created by the community, this is what Arma is all about. User created missions vary from single player stealth mission to large battles from land and air, there are even some more creative mission that allow you to become other things like a police officer. BIS have given the community an enjoyable game which doubles up as a template for a large amount of mods and missions both new and old. There are however some problem namely the optimisation. The is very laggy, there is however some solutions and after a bit of tweaking the game should be very playable. Squad management is still time comsuming but after some practice (from the campaign) it does become slightly easier.
Overall Arma III is an excellent game and has set out on what it was going to achieve: Become an interesting and enjoyable game while allowing the community to create excellent mods and missions. Dont listen to people complaining about optimisation and content because optimisation can be solved with a google search and content can easily be fleshed out by those who have excellently contributed to the game on things such as the workshop and Armaholic.
This game is worth every penny.
