This game is awesome. Made and designed by DARTIS, the guy behind the DarthMod series for Total War, it exceeds in every category.

I didn't intend to write a review on it until it got pulled from the Apple store, for having the Confederate battle flag in it.(It IS a historical game...)

This game is very akin to Sid Meier's Gettysburg, but a little bit more refined in a number of ways. It isn't exciting, with its 2D sprites persay, but its definitely challenging.

I would recommend this game, 10/10.

This game has come a very long way since the initial closed beta test, and is definitely worth $15.

With an intriguing and open world single-playing experience, that is both user friendly and very mod-able, this game ranks in with my favorites.

As well as having a unique campaign everytime you play, giving it a very satisfactory replayability factor, this game also has very entertaining multiplayer elements, with a charming and hilariously fun community to keep you amused and light-hearted, as you slaughter your way to the top of the leaderboards.

As someone who has put in quite a number of hours into this game on my PC, and almost three times that much on my 360, I can confidently say that this game was worth single cent. But you're looking at it right now, aren't you? That's how you're reading my review?

Stop reading my review, and buy this game. You won't regret it.

This review is going to be longer than most I typically write.

Im going to start by touching on various bases:

The Campaign/Grand World Map:

Total War has always been known for scale. This game is no exception. Creative Assembly has created a hugely detailed, highly interactive(It feels like it was built for touch, sometimes), and deceptively simple interface. The map terrains and army models are of extremly high quality, as should be expected from the developers.

The Battles:

As always, Creative Assembly has come out on top in terms of qualities and looks; the feel and details of the units and battlefield are astounding, and the sounds that go with entire Roman Centuries slamming into Celtic Tribesmen make the experience complete. The Blood&Gore packs only adds to the completion of this experience.

The AI:

This is the game's biggest flaw. The AI in battles can be....well, predictable. Challenging, but like all AI, supremely predictable. This is only doubled by the sheer idiocy of the AI on the lower difficulties, and the fact that the only reason the AI will win on the hard difficulties, is not by outsmarting the player, but being able to control biggers amounts of units, faster.

Other than the AI, Total War: ROME II is a great addition to the fantastic series that Creative Assembly has created. While it lacks true political integration(much like that of Medieval 2, with its Papacy roles and elections, or even Rome 1, with its approval ratings of the Senate and Plebs), Rome II is still a lot of fun, not just by yourself, but with friends.

In my opinion, SEGA should have delayed the release a little longer, to let Creative Assembly finsh the game. But we can't have everything.

This is a great space, 4X RTS games.
Its in-depth, as you have to explore the galaxies, expand your empire as the Rebels or Loyalist of the three main races, Advent, Vasari, or the TEC, exploit the resources on each planet, as well as artifacts, and exterminate all who stand in your way.
Manipulate your opponents, send pirate raids after people that annoy you. Defend your empire with a range of different ships and structures, trade within your own empire, as well as others, and command your massive armadas of ships, with a slick interface, well balanced ships, and an intelligent AI, which seems like it cheats the harder you set it to.(If you watch the replays, the AI literally spawns ships in. D:<)

Rebellion is a great addition to the series, and the DLC, while seeming minor, expands on the gameplay in surprising ways.

Devs are still updating this game too!

11/10
