Amazing game that came out finished with pretty much no bugs in my experience, great story line and character designs, everything actually goes with the beat, even during cutscenes

Amazing animations, soundtrack, lore, story. Only gripe I had with this game was the lag that they fixed with the update.

The new chapter really expanded on the universe, has some twists and puzzles(That are somewhat harsh since you have to be 100% accurate) and unexpected reveals. And it's just the first part. Looking forward to what they'll bring with part 2

There's a lot of things to do in this game, you might not even realize it's there until you find it. Sometimes the game holds your hand when trying to teach you new feature; Other times you just have to find it.

Want something to do when you're bored in this game? Go to a planet, name every plant "plant". Or you can be more specific and name them things like "Tree" or "Shrub". Same rule goes to animals. It's not often people visit, but you can be sure it's hilarious when people try to name it only to find some idiot named every flying creature "Birb"

Pros:

Good soundtrack

Soundtrack actually helps with your timing. sometimes. You're still better off coming up with a rhythm for yourself. For example the starting pistol has 8 ammo and takes 2 "beats" to reload. So you have 8 "beats" of shooting and 2 "beats" of reloading. To get a hang of it you might want to try a 3 2 3 2 beat. Shoot 3 times, Shoot 2 times, Shoot 3 times, reload reload.

Audio design for guns are really well done, especially if you can time your fire and reloads optimally.

Cons:

Frustrating to start with, it'll take time to adjust yourself to the imaginary beat

graphics are heavily stylized, most levels are mostly shades of red, orange etc, it can be hard to pick out details in the environment

Depending on your machine, you might have issues with the game stuttering. This kills all the fun as your rhythm is completely ruined every time it stutters

Certain weapons feel iffy to play with, such as the shotguns

Whether or not you'll get a good run is heavily dependent on your first level. Items are either godly or useless, most of the time it's the latter.

Verdict:
It's a very cool concept that is done alright. But the game could do with more tweaks and optimizations to really have it shine. Go for it if you can afford it, but wait for a discount if you can't

It was down to 1v1, and I had the worst operator, worst reflexes and no doubt the worst aim in the team. The objective was right there, but the enemy is no where to be found, probably just around the corner, better set down this clay- AAAAAAAAAA

I got downed and the claymore exploded, killing us both, still won anyway

It's great, been my main game for a couple of years. However the game has been getting far fewer updates compared to other valve games which is why I'm going to stop for awhile. There's also no news about the Heavy vs Pyro update which was announced about a year ago.

It's a great game, but I feel like valve isn't really putting much effort into keeping it "new"

Great lore, great art style, great story, it's a very interesting world to be immersed in. The gameplay didn't really buy it for me but the soundtrack mixed with the feeling of isolation really makes you want to continue the game
