This game offers a lot of enjoyment, especially when playing with friends. However, its current state leaves much to be desired, making it difficult for me to give a recommendation. Despite having ample system resources available, the game suffers from severe optimization issues, resulting in frequent frame drops. Surprisingly, both CPU and GPU usage remain below 40%, indicating a significant performance problem.

Switching out of the game exacerbates the issue, as the framerate plunges below 20FPS and fails to recover until a complete game restart. Compounding the problem is the mandatory use of FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) to combat excessive heat generation, despite the hardware barely breaking a sweat.

Furthermore, the game exhibits a troubling memory leak problem that severely impacts performance. Until these issues are addressed, I find it difficult to endorse this game, especially considering the unsightly visual degradation forced by the 'ultra performance' FSR mode.

As of 19/DEC/2024, the game is STILL horribly optimised.

I remember playing both this and Afraid of Monsters in CO-OP with a good friend. I remember enjoying the game (played CO-OP because I was too scared to play solo.

It's genuinely one of the scariest things I've experienced. The in-game voice chat is amazing. If you play over Discord you're a ♥♥♥♥♥.

Cool to mess around with. Looks pretty as well. I enjoy the blueprint paper style thing. Also it's free.

Despite my hours, I've played through the entirety of this game and all it's DLC's. In my opinion, it's marginally better than New Vegas, and this is from someone who things New Vegas is 'a better game', but I can get into that later. I'll rate the story and gameplay of each game here...

Good fun, quite addictive! Played during free weekend and I'm loving it! Likely picking it up.

Very fun, good combat. Enjoyed both casually and competitively.
