Thought I'd update my review once again, because Gaijin decided to mess with their community even more recently. It is quite sad because it is a unique game, with a ton of different models and factions.

Unfortunately it will take you years to grind out a single tech tree of a single nation, so if you want to play let's say, 3 nations at top tier, with close air support options, you're looking at either a 5 digit amount of hours played or a 5 digit amount of cash spent to pay for research completion (and silver lions, which you also have to buy to actually complete said research).

Even if you pay for a premium account and a premium vehicle, your progress will be painfully slow and that vehicle will only let you grind one tech tree for one faction, and that will already have cost you the same as the newest call of duty title.

To make it even worse, if you enjoy playing a non premium vehicle, you're not allowed to complete the tech tree with said vehicle, because they made it so your RP gain towards research more than one tier away from your current vehicle is abysmal. It would take you thousands of matches to unlock a tier 4 vehicle with a tier 7 vehicle, and the same goes for unlocking a tier 7 vehicle with a tier 4 one. No idea who thought that was a good idea, but I guess when you make the game so grindy no one wants to play it anymore, you need to force people to play in tiers they don't want to so the servers seem populated.

Forgot to add: they still allow spawncamping, which is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No reason to fix anything else with this game when you're not allowed to leave spawn and enjoy any of it anyway.

I am not going to recommend a game that has bugs which either make it impossible to progress your save, or obtain achievements.

It's a fun game, but not "throwing away 50 hours of progress to get an achievement because of a bug" fun.
If you're not into losing tens of hours of progress, I recommend you patch your game down to 1.0.3 before playing so your game save is compatible with the dev menu mod so you can edit your quest flags instead of starting all over again from a new save.

If you're a degenerate and enjoy waking up to naked robots I guess this is your game.
Music is pretty good.

For those on Vive or otherwise experience being extremely tall while in game: one of the following will fix your problem.

1. Play the open beta
2. If your left hand is dominant, leave it down and relaxed while pressing calibrate with your right hand.

Not sure which of those two fixed the problem for me but those were the changes I made when the problem got solved.
It is stupid but at least you'll be able to try the game if you do this.

Grabbing a gun is done with the grip buttons on the side of the controller, so when you try picking up a rifle and it points at your face that is because you used the trigger button. (makes you grab the foregrip).

I got it on sale and my 40 minutes of playing was alright. Gunplay is pretty fun, and while melee doesn't feel bad it takes a lot of hits to kill stronger enemies. No virtual stock afaik, so aiming rifles can be a bit eh.

I got the medical bonds after a long long time, maybe it was increased or maybe not.

Struggling to find a match in multiplayer, you're not able to play zombies or the campaign with the free weekend pass so save yourself of the 50gb download unless you're a die hard fan. The guns are surprisingly enough pretty okay.
