counter-strike is probably one of the only games that is not based on luck or RNG.

sure that 99 damage head shot hurt sometimes, or the fact that the cross-hair is on his head and yet u still missed, but that's not the case all the time, its how u encounter the round and make the best out of what u got make u better than the rest, this is not COD where the better shooter wins.

at a higher skill level where everyone knows how to shoot, it comes down to who has the better execute to the round, think of it like chess but with guns.

i would say i recommend it but i don't think anyone never at least tried it once.
