Bugsnax is basically a mix of Pokemon infused with fetch quests. The fun is in figuring out how to catch each creature while also having different tools at one's command. This is definitely a title that one can relax with. The voice acting is good & offers light comedy. Also, some dark comedy. If you wanna go on safari utilizing fun mechanics, this is a product for you! Don't expect loads more than what I've described here, though.

Simply, one of the absolute best FREE games available now, via Steam. Compare to Diablo series.

Nuclear Throne is a top-down "shooter" of sorts, with rogue-lite elements. The different playable (once unlocked) characters have abilities unique from each other. One has extra health, another has extra ammo, & there are even two that wield great defensive abilities - one being a shielding power that never depletes.

This top-down arcade rogue-lite shooter can be enjoyed with friends, locally! This means that more than one person can play on the same machine/PC together - same screen or splitscreen in many cases.
Nuclear Throne can also be played with others online.

The responsive controls make for a fun time, here; frantic shooting amid screens packed full with crazy! The countless changing instances produced at random make for fresh situations & items that can even teleport players to different or special zones... among other bonuses.

Nuclear Throne also supports gamepads (Logitech dual-action, 360, XB1) aside from Mouse+KB. Fullscreen or adjusted.

I bought this at standard price of $15. I still recommend it, regardless of discount.
Really great for quick moments spent killing time, as N.Throne launches, loads, and plays lightning-fast.

Did you enjoy the first Half-Life game? Do you like to be guided by a good storyline while being drip-fed intense action? Prepare to be hit in the feelz; Half-Life 2 reunites the player with old friends.. . and enemies!
You play as Gordon Freeman, burdened with the task of securing mankind's salvation. Emotional, horrifying, intense, and gripping gameplay remains intact throughout both Episodes 1 & 2.

The epitome of story-drivin solo campaigns.

One of the best games of the nineties. The original debuted in '99. I remember buying the Gold Edition from the game website for 15 bucks + S&H. Got a rubber facehugger toy with a suction cup on the bottom. Pretty cool. Absolutely adored and played the heck outta this game. Multiplayer was so cool and tense. Mplayer was the first network I tried this on... lag-fest. I highly recommend this game, especially for the price-point. Blast from the past; 3 unique gameplay experiences, as well. Always liked Alien campaign- you are easily killed by ballistics, though.

Since April 13, 2015 @ approx. 7:45 P.M. Chicago Time (central | -6:00)..... .. . I have been able to unpack, update and unwind with this game with no issues except for a tiny glitch concerning AMD visual settings with PostFX needing to be set to Normal. Just lost motion blur & extra Depth of Field effects... both of which I hate. Still have regular DoF effects.

This, however, was not the issue for most people. No; most people were unable to play even the next day and rated this product horrible. That is sad, because nobody gives people a chance. Such sophisticated visuals & engines distributed on ever-evolving platforms with pause-and-resume downloads/installations WILL have some problems at some point.

My time playing so far? Everything seems to be working except a couple pay'n'sprays in one server a friend of mine joined that I was in. I am playing GTA 5 on a Win7 Pro 64-bit, FX-6100 (OCed), AMD R9 270x 4gb, 16gb ddr3 1333mhz, Western Digital Caviar Green (tweaked).... all on an Asus M5a97 Evo mobo.

1920x1080 res.
View distance max
Population density & diversity max
All settings except Shadow quality & shadow resolution set to max (shadows at normal including Ambient Occlusion)
Anisotropic Filtering x16
I can even play with 2x MSAA and 4x MSAA-reflections.
Average 50 fps with those settings, on rig below.

Haven't formatted in almost 2 years and have a mid-grade gaming rig. The game obviously performs great.
I DO feel bad for those encountering launch errors or crashes. This should be fixed soon and plenty of workarounds are already out DAY 1, even pre-date release!

So far... A BLAST! Even with most of those settings turned down low, the game looks great and plays well. Grass on Ultra... FINALLY I can alter it's shape and position both in and out of a car, including large bushes. Online doesn't seem too laggy... for now.

I recommend.

I guess a person or two doesn't feel the xbox 360 gamepad isn't good for this game. I disagree. Plug&Play versus my Logitech Dual Action's tedious & depressing setup/support. Of course, I didn't really search for any profiles. But the 360 pad works and plays just like any other driving/racing game for the console, itself. Fine-tuning only makes it better. A wheel, such as a Logitech g25/7 is the epitome of connection between reality and virtual reality with this game.

I love Assetto Corsa. May be a bit difficult, seems lacking in content and some will have a harder time achieving visuals close to the screenshots (due to their own lack of technical know-how)... . .
. . ..but this is a true driving SIM. I have played some online games, but for me, I get all giddy like a kid on xmas, once I have downloaded + added new tracks to play with. And I just usually play in Practice mode. Just the simple, pure 'FEEL' of the game and trying to simply, "drive better" is an extremely rewarding challenge contained within an exhilierating experience.

$50 is a bit steep... but the included mod+map tools, PLUS the massive modding community & purists make up for it.

I have a feeling this sim will have longevity.

This is the PC port of the old PS2 classic Midnight Club II. I absolutely adored the first midnight club.... probably more than any of the rest, due to pure nostalgia. This game, despite the warning of not working with Windows 7 or above, has no issues running on my Win7 x64 system.

I just wish Need For SPeed Underground 2 would pop up on Steam, then the racing classics would be complete, imo. Midnight Club 3 included.

Recommended for a shot of classic, yet fun racing- 128-bit system era

Ah, Street Fighter. Just the name 'Street Fighter' evokes a feeling of nostalgia for most gamers. Street Fighter II (2) was considered one of the best figthting games back in the early nineties. I still enjoy playing the Championship Edition on my Sega Genesis. It was a time where Mortal Kombat, Virtua FIghter and Tekken were eager contenders. But something about the other ones just couldn't quite match the charm of SF. Later iterations like Third Strike, the Alpha series, and a couple 3D editions (EX) provided new styles and elements... but the tried & true SFII was just a joy to continue loading. Super SFII was pretty great. That is what I consider Street FIghter IV and all of its versions. Just in 3D. No side-stepping either. Much like the Mortal Kombat reboot from 2011, Street Fighter IV brings you back to the roots of its iconic gameplay. Everything is fluid and fast. Satisfying and beautiful. To my surprise, it ran beautifully on my old Pentium D with 2 gigs of ddr2 and a 512mb pci-e card, under Windows XP. It may seem like a waste of extra money to upgrade all of these "IV" versions, but for a Street Fighter fan, it is just religion. I LOVE SSFIV:AE. It is near flawless in my eyes. I will own Ultra. I very much suggest buying SSFIV or Ulta.. heck, even the vanilla version. It will bring you back to when people gathered around arcade cabinets and furiously struck buttons while beads of sweat formed around their foreheads.

A 100% perfect port of the 2011 console release on 360 & PS3. Only, better! All DLC is included, better visuals and more options. The ONLY thing that stands out in this title, is the fact that all the hidden/dlc characters are already unlocked, including the alternate outfits. I am not sure what else is given to you, but the Krypt still charges you to buy stuff, regardless of already owning it. Doesn't bother me though. Highly recommended if you are a fan of the franchise, or want a great alternative to Street Fighter 4.
