This game is designed as if all the survivors had the survival skills of a meme'd computer programmer. They struggle taking out a single zombie with a hammer (most people could handle this), they break bones jumping from second story windows (most people could handle this), and they die walking maybe 20 yards with a fractured bone (who would this happen to?). It isn't exactly a survival scenario. The only thing you really need to survive is the game.

I don't think it would be hard to design a good game with a good amount of realism.

I love survival games. I don't know how they can justify charging more than $5 for this.

The survivors are unrealistically weak. They get easily damaged and die in unreasonably short amounts of time. Is this the programmers self concept?

The looting and building system is boring, obtuse, and slow. The combat is unintuitive. The keyboard layout is unintuitive. The looting and UI is unintuitive.

I would skip this game. It is mostly just frustrating, boring, and unrealistic.

I would recommend this game if it weren't for the community.

Conan Exiles is, in my opinion, a pretty amazing game. The amount of content Funcom is adding is worthy of respect. The game is buggy. However, I would prefer that they finish fleshing out the games content and then focus on bug fixing. I am hoping that after the trouble they had at launch this game is going to be a sleeper hit.

I have a hard time leaving a negative review for this game, as I think it is well done.

However, I have to be honest. I don't think one negative review is going to affect the ultimate outcome of this game, and if it does, so be it.

This is a zero-sum game. That means that there is one definite winner in every match. Everyone one else loses. It is also a highly competitive and fast paced game. They managed to turn the relatively slow machinations of business into something that requires constant attention.

My gripe with this is that it is unrealistic. Business is not a zero-sum game, at best it is a true non-zero-sum game. There is no option for cooperation. Also, the game is entirely about being cutthroat. There are numerous options to use illegal means to negatively affect your other players so that you win a monopoly in the marketplace. This is business at it's worst.

Good business is about innovation and service to the public. Bad business is about incremental or no-improvement and a turfwar over existing services with little to no improvement on current benefit to the public. Yes, these things do go on, to some extent in the real world. But they aren't all that interesting, nor do they present truely profitable industries. The industries wherein drastic profit is generally made have to do with innovation. However, there is one exception to this rule. Profit based on the capacity to invest in business which are innovative and profitable. This is the case of Warren Buffet. That being said he has invested in some existing blue-chip companies which offer little in the way of innovation. Still, his business, or investment firm really, is built on his ability to decide on whether a company is well run or not. This has little to do with sundering your competition.

We were taught that competition is good. This is true if you have a monopoly on power and you want your populace to be willing to compete with our peoples who are ruled by someone/someones with a monopoly of power in their own respective region. This competition does innovate some change. However, it does so inefficiently. Directed Cooperation is by it's very nature more efficient as it does not waste energy/resources to competition and, "warfare."

It is less relevant who owns the power than what that power does, in terms of the happiness of the public. This game is all about who owns the power.

This is a paradigm that we need to do away with. If we maintain this paradigm it is more likely that our species will suffer needlessly into the future.

Hmm, can't queue with friends, can only play v each other in a premade 4v1.

Matchmaking will match up new players with players who have sets of ultra rares... happened to me today on my first day.

I wouldn't recommend this game.

The devs don't have a business model which enables them to eliminate enough bugs. A functional server needs a staff of 3-4 admins who basically spend all their time correcting glitches such as ships clipping into planets, etc, for the playerbase.

I would recommend to the devs to spend more on marketing and then through the increased sales to hire atleast one person who's full time job is to eliminate most of the bugs. This would make this game much less frustrating to play.

If you like being frustrated and don't mind restarting your game client constantly (which for some reason has no ability to go full screen windowed even if you employ the unity launch modifier command) than this is the game for you.

If not, I recommend Kerbal Space Program.

Great game.

Multiplayer from the 1990's, it is so broken it is hard to describe.
