I originally bought this game for PlayStation 3 back in 2010. Who knows how much longer my PlayStation 3 will last, so I bought it here for my PC. It's still an amazing game which looks ridiculously good for a 13-year-old game. Split/Second is a fantastic game which deserves a sequel that it will never get. This game is still worth it at $20. This game is a gem with fantastic game play, music, and graphics. A classic.

Just so I can also mention one of my favorite things this game does, while it doesn't appear to have Steam achievements, it does have in-game achievements - and the "Sponsorship Stickers" on your car are your achievements! Just a gem of a game.

I'll be completely honest: I bought this game accidentally, thinking it was CryptArk. This has been a very happy accident, as I actually think I like Void Scrappers better! A wonderful little game well worth the price!

Play Warframe - but maybe not the Steam version
(Unless you're playing on a Steam Deck!)

After playing a few thousand hours on Switch, I came back to Warframe with the introduction - finally - of cross-save, which meant I could play my same save from Switch on any platform. The game remains incredible, with a core gameplay loop that feels wonderful, countless things to do, and deep customization of both stats and appearance (Fashionframe is the true PVP.)

That said, if you like using a controller, maybe don't play this version. The Steam version of Warframe has integrated Steam Input support, which in theory makes it so you can use any controller, but in practice was a huge mess. The steam input functionality made it a nightmare to remap things, because you had to remap them over each "mode" of the game. Even worse was the Void-forsaken on-screen keyboard. There is literally no way to disable the on-screen keyboard and use a controller with the steam version. It's impossible to ditch the Official Steam Input setup, controllers simply fail to work without it. I am disabled, and a controller is much easier for me than Keyboard & Mouse, so this was a dealbreaker.

THe on-screen keyboard interefered with a lot of things, but the biggest thing was trying to link mod setups in chat - it simply would not work no matter what I tried. My guess is that it's set up that way to ensure that Steam Deck users will be able to play, and that's understandable.

The solution I found was the install the Standalone Version of Warframe[www.warframe.com] from the official Warframe website, and run that as a Non-Steam game through Steam. You can even log on to the same PC account with that version.

This game is great. I played a few thousand hours on Switch before changing to PC. It's a lot more fun if you're willing to treat it like an MMO with a monthly fee, but you have have a good bit of fun for free, too.

I stand by that old review, but the Steam Input problems prompted me to write a new review.

Halo is... Halo. The great, the classic. A game from the before-times, when the world made sense.
