During the 5 hours of playtime I had during the Advance Access period, I have had an absolute banger time with SH2 Remake. I played the game using their Retro settings (to hide tutorials, button prompts and more) and their 90s theme graphic filter. All of it definitely made it feel like I was playing it in the 90s, obviously with better graphics.

I really loved the exploration of SH and combat. Even tho I had bad expectations, it’s not as bad as I thought it was.

There will be obvious changes in the remake from the original. Same thing if you played RE4 Remake. But it doesnt make it a bad game!

I have only had some FPS drops a couple times, which go away less than a couple seconds.

I would definitely give this a 9/10! Good job Bloober Team! :taunt:

I played it just for the incest 10/10

I have only played the DLC for around 7hrs and I already love the amount of content I have found. Seeing how big the map is, the amount of new weapon types I have found, the lore which I have caught on.

All of it in my eyes... its perfection, this is what I have been waiting for the past year and a half.
I have only seen a couple of bugs, which aren't game breaking. We can expect the next update fairly soon.

If you're thinking of buying this DLC, it is tougher than the base game. Its up to you, if you can handle the challenging land of shadow and its open deadly world. If you dont want to be punished too hard then dont buy it. You got to handle the pressure and the amount of deaths to come.

Best souls-like I have played in 2020 to present, its total fun and there is lots to do in singleplayer or with friends either in Vanilla Co-op or in Seamless Co-op Mod (especially if youre a completionist and like to play each build). I would recommend this as your first souls-like 100%! (before any other)

Waiting for DLC to come out next February, will update review even further. 10/10
