Why you may like this game (like me :) ): A very good game to chill out, you are practically in an aquarium with pretty fish swimming around :) Easy to start crafting game with a quest, the first mode is forgiving and there are lots of resources. Sometimes things might go tense, especially if you forget to check your O2 meter, but by careful planning and crafting you can easily avoid the danger. Survival vibe is here to some extent, but usually there is plenty of food to hunt and scavenge, so it is nothing tedious. And if you are up to more serious challenge, there are harder modes unlocked during the gameplay.

Why you might not like this game? The game is old, and you can easily see it, though sometimes the graphics may still surprise you in a positive way. Crafting options are quite limited, so is the sea life (predators and so on), so the game may get boring after a while. The "main quest" in the basic gamemode requires you to search large area of sea bottom, which is a bit monotonous (no caves or anything like that), so if you don't like such tasks, it might not be a game for you.
