Hands down best game of the year, maybe even the decade.

Great, great game! The campaigns are very immersive with different story lines for the (main) factions.
Every faction has unique mechanics, some of them (the bandits for one) are different entirely. This gives the game even more replayability.

CA hates their fans and just wants to milk them for money - this is the only reasonable explanation why dis is dlc.

Early Access Review
Great game, really good throwback to all those who used to play and enjoy the older Quake games (or Unreal tournament).
Get it if:
+You like fast pace action (first person) shooters
+You prefer playing 1v1 or 2v2 rather than having 5v5 in cs with 3 random idiots on your team...
+You prefer skill based games over casual time wasting
+You had fun with any of the old Quake titles and want to play a more modern up to date game with fast match queues
+You do not like playing with/against cheaters (atleast I hope so...I haven't encountered any cheaters so far)

Do not get it if:
-You like any CoD title
-You want to play ranked with more than one friend at a time
-You have epilepsy or any similiar condition
-You like sitting around for hours to build bases or you enjoy camping with a sniper rifle, waiting for a victiom to walk into your crosshair

Extra:
+- It is early access, so the content in the sense of character variety etc is still fairly limited, however if I understand their plans, they will add many more characters and maps and probably game modes

Grand Strategy at its best! Hours and hours of gameplay and high replayability. Become the ruler of your favourite realm in the time span of 1444-1820 and conquer the whole world. You rather enjoy building the wealthiest trade empire? Then do that! You want to be the ruler of Fantasia called King Fantasius the 1st? Easy, just use the custom nation function! (DLC, el dorado i believe).

Played 15 minutes, died 8 times. Would play 15 more minutes and die another 8 times!

Pros:

-new map

-new units

-new rewarding questline (collecting imperium rather than just surviving)

-War weariness!

Cons:

-voices are copy-paste from Attila (which are mostly copy-paste from Rome2): Lombards talk about being Roman and stuff

-office system is broken: in Attila you needed your characters to level up to get to the highest(and very powerful) offices, here you can promote a lvl 1 newb commander to the highest office...

-distances are too big: it takes you 3-4 rounds if you want to get to Britain, when playing the Danes...

Summary:

This Add-on has potential with a lot more and a lot more interesting new stuff than the last Roman, but in the current state it's not satisfactory (atleast imho). I will rather keep playing the base game and wait for patches to come.
Bonus: The white Huns are now playable in the main campaign! Not sure if you need Charlemagne for that.
