Outlast 2...where do I begin as fellower let's player and streamer and HUGE horror game fan.

Well for starters Outlast was one of my favorite horror games next to Dead Space. Outlast 2 was a quality sequel to Outlast and let's just say along with the creepy storyline I found a few issues with this game. The chases seem be the only aim towards a destination. You were always driven in a single direction with no alternative ways to go. Whereas Outlast you got to explore one of the creepiest settings in a video game to date.

The "bosses" were a little odd, especially Nick and Laird just seemed like something straight out of a Resident Evil segment, whereas the "bosses" in Outlast seemed to be normal out-of-their-mind humans, not mutants. The MOST scariest aspect of this was the school, I would have LOVED a Outlast just based around the school. The transitions between the two places were phenomenal but I have to admit the whole game production felt rushed, especially when you are in the church and Josiah gets axed to death and there is no blood at all.

The presentation of the ending was VERY anticlimatic kind of like Breath of the Wild in my opinion, this isn't saying I'm not pleased, just left on the notion of "really? Really? That is all?..." It yielded very few answers and there were a lot of scenes like I mentioned where some things are lacking or missing. Such as when Lynn gives birth and Blake is not holding the child in the shadow which lead many to speculate was it all in his head, or was this just another developer mistake? I give the game a 7/10, worth the buy and anyone who loves gore or horror will absolutely love this game.
