Like many other reviews of this game, I agree that the concept and the mechanics of this game are great, but they're overshadowed by the amount of bugs. One good thing to note however is that it seems like they're frequently adding new features to the game, however, I think they should take the time to fix the bugs in order to make a game where you don't risk losing your save by reloading.

The discord is of no help when it comes to workarounds for these bugs, often recommending things like "Reload the save" or "Fire and Rehire Workers". This could ruin your experience as reloading the game can sometimes result in all of your employees at the factory disappearing (which can cost thousands of $$ to rehire, and if you're not ready to do that -- there goes your save).

Additionally, if you don't get the mechanics and understand the game fast enough, you wont progress fast enough to be able to meet the standards set by the random events in the game. There's a police chief who you pay off in order to keep your business in good terms with the government, however the checks are so frequent, that you don't really have time as a beginner to prepare for this. I constantly found myself having to refer to guides and the discord tips channel in order to find the "meta"-strat, rather than just enjoying the game.

As for experience customisation, there is none. You always need to play with the same settings, so if you're looking for a casual experience, there's not one to be had here. This may change in the future, but as of right now, enjoy being kept on your toes, and probably sinking your business by day 20 if you think you can breathe for even a second.

However if you are looking for some degree of freedom to explore the game's mechanics, a user on Dope Games' discord has made a Sandbox Save, which may help better understand some of the key concepts.

Good luck getting past the weed era within the first 8 hours, You'll lose all your employees at least twice and won't have time to research the tech in order to get there and sustain your business.
