It should be noted that I'm a big fan of The Behemoth's games, and can recognise BEHEMOTH is a smaller game based on their titular mascot, that shouldn't be compared to their other, more substantial games.
It's an arcade-style game where your objective is to score as many points as possible by depositing chicks, travelling as far as possible, unlocking cosmetics via candy corns, etc. The small amount of sound design that is here is good and the art style is in the usual lovable Behemoth style.

I'll pick this up every now and then for short bursts. This game would be fun in the long run, it has solid fundamentals, and I can recommend it on that alone. However as it stands, the game isn't as balanced as it should be, a lot of the time you have no control over your character because there's just so much ♥♥♥♥ flying at you on the screen to the point you can't move, or you have one billion hazards fly at you at the same time with no way out.

Bubbles the Cat looks like a generic run-of-the-mill autorunner on the surface, but sprinkled throughout its five worlds is a lot of mechanically deep and complex level design that was fun to tackle. The soundtrack to these worlds are also bangers, even if they're just short loops. Some levels were harder and required frame perfect inputs, but with enough brute force, you're able to get through them with platinum stars.

The same can't be said for the World X levels, which is hell on earth. Frame perfect inputs are expected throughout the ENTIRE level, and since it's an autorunner, there's no room to correct any errors. Don't play this expecting to complete it fully unless you like being a masochist and have a lot of patience and free time, but other than that, the base game is a really fun play, and even funner to perfect with platinum stars. A hidden gem if you will. It's also free!

Hope to see the developer resurrect for another game someday.

I've only been able to use Desktop Mode as I don't own a VR headset, but I can confidently say that the experience is still worth playing even without a headset. I've had a lot of fun with friends that are both playing in VR and desktop mode like me, and we can interact with each other on equal ground regardless. I may not be able to move my arms and legs, but I have emotes to choose from and the mouth flaps sync up with my microphone. Text chat could be more visible, however.

There are so many avatars to choose from to express yourself, you can copy any avatar you like from special avatar worlds, and pretty much any media or character you think of has a set of avatars, unless it's really THAT obscure. Public lobbies are hit or miss. Sometimes you can meet chill people, other times you meet not-so-chill people and literal children. Kinda like chat room websites, but in VR. I would recommend playing with friends for the full VRChat experience.

Likewise, there's a lot of content to play too, with many different types of worlds available. These can range from social spaces with TVs that play music and YouTube videos, roleplay worlds, clones of existing games but in VR such as Suika Game, Cards Against Humanity, and excellent reimaginings of existing games such as Super VR Ball, and so much more.

The UI isn't the most intuitive, and takes some exploring to find what you need, but it works and does its job fine. There are features that are absent that should be there like profile pictures, and some things are locked behind a subscription - but hey, they gotta make money somehow.

The public experience isn't so bad, but providing you have friends to play with, VRChat is some of the most fun you'll ever have with video games, even if you don't own a VR headset.

Speaking as someone who has no familliarity with this developer's back catalogue of games, 100% Orange Juice is a pretty good Mario Party-like for PC that's fun for all the family and friends, being one big crossover using characters from the developer's other games.

There's no mini games, instead you win by gaining stars by passing appropriate spaces, or beating out your friends in dice roll battles. You use these to level up your character, and after a certain amount of level ups, you'll win. You can also turn the tide in your favor by drawing and using cards with their own effects that will benefit you and detriment other players.

The story modes aren't very enticing as battles against CPUs simply aren't as fun as your friends, and half the time they beat you at every corner even on the easiest difficulty. As for the story and characters themselves, I know nothing about these characters, nor do I really care - I just like some of their designs, that's about it.

The base game only includes a few characters to play, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles, so I'd recommend you pick up the game + all DLCs as a full priced game on sale, to find which character works for you.

There's a WHOLE LOT of DLCs, with achievements tied to them, and the game still gets updated to this day after 10 years. How much content is too much content? Who knows. Don't stress about completing this one if you're a completionist like me, just sit back and relax while murdering your friends.

Oh, and the music rules. So much.
