I'll write a long review detailing everything more thouroughly later, but for now, this is a must buy at this price if you like metroidvania games. For those that don't know the term, this means exploration and platforming focused games, typically 2D.

tl;dr version: Great music and art, has something to offer for both casual and hardcore players. This game feels like a steal for the price even for the full $15. Personally I think this game is definitely worth at least $30, if not full $60, and personally I could not put the game down except when I went to work. Couldn't put the game down except when I had to go to work.

Pros:
+Amazing Soundtrack

+Incredibly detailed handdrawn art

+Great, surprising story, told piecemeal in a Dark Souls-esque fashion. Leaves just enough unkown to speculate, but if you pay attention it won't leave you guessing or unsure about the main story. For those who want to know everything, most of the big answers can be found, with little intricate details left for you to form your own ideas and opinions on.

+Extremely fluid and well thought out combat system. Charm system allows multiple builds to be built, primarily focused around melee combat, defense, spellcasting, and maneuverability, as well as a few basic quality of life charms such as a compass that shows your location on the map. Personally I stuck with melee and speed focused build the whole game, but I have heard of various builds that can truly break the game in tremendously satisfying ways when executed properly in the right areas. Every boss is very unique and interesting, all standing out in my memory in some way. And due to this charm system, bosses could be designed in very different ways. If one build isn't working for you or you are struggling to beat a boss with your preffered playstyle, you can switch things up and try again in an instant.

+As far as difficulty goes, this is a game that can be enjoyed casually for those just looking for a fun, quick romp without too much effort, but also has plenty of optional challenges for the more hardcore and adrenaline seekers.

++While simply beating the game does not require too much difficult combat, heavy exploration, or nerve-wracking platforming, those that wish to complete the game or uncover all the mysteries to achieve the "True End" will have quite a challenge ahead of them. Without spoiling specifics, there are three great challenges for the three main pillars of this style of game. An end/post game area known as the White Palace is an incredible challenge for platforming. The true final boss, as well as the highest difficulty of a hidden colosseum area are soul crushingly difficult but highly rewarding combat challenges that truly make you feel like you earned your victory in ways only games like Dark Souls have been able to replicate consistently. And an optional hidden escort quest that truly tests your navigation and survival skills.

+++All of this on top of not even mentioning Steel Soul Mode. For the truly masochistic, Steel Soul mode is a one life mode, where if you die, the game ends. You have to beat the game on a single life, and there's even an achievement for 100%-ing the game on this mode. Needless to say, I haven't even come close to this, nor am I sure I wish to do so, but for those seeking a true challenge, this is it. For the gods amongst us, there is even a speedrun 100% achievement. COMPLETE the game in it's entirety in under 20 hours. Personally, on my first run, I spent nearly 30 hours and haven't even gotten 100%.

Cons

-Honestly, none so far. I played the whole game and the only glitch I encountered was the final boss soft-locking where they stood still and I couldn't progress the fight. But I didn't even have to close the game to fix it, simply go to main menu and come back.
