Edit: 343 still refuses to expand on multiplayer by adding something as simple as BTB Slayer playlists and as resulted to banning anyone in discussions permanently for suggesting 343 is in the wrong on anything, this is really sad behavior to see at this point but is almost expected if I'm going to be honest.


This game has has a glorious skeleton underneath all the hideous maggot ridden flesh that binds it, but 343 has shown they don't care about providing the best halo game anymore, just the most profitable one.

*The lag/hit reg issues this game has are inexcusable, on top of the half-assed approach the dev team seems to be taking with fixing the most minute things makes me really wonder what the hell happened during development and even now behind the scenes.

*When you complete your battlepass, there is essentially no reason to keep playing anymore as they dont even have a meaningless xp rank to grind levels for.

*The severe lack of variety in maps and how they are structured is extremely disappointing as well and the lack of forge for the next year potentially makes playing for longer than an hour very dull unless playing the same map over and over and over in big team battle with the occasional 2nd map they lazily slapped together is your sort of thing.

* in terms of sandbox variety this is the lowest hanging fruit in the franchise so far when it comes to the multiplayer side of things. Most power weapons are very samey or feel extremely weak or laggy.
The gravity hammer for example will often fail to kill an enemy player right in front of your face, or rockets that explode right under an enemy only leaves them with broken shields.

*Melee is a gamble in this game. If you try to melee an enemy player in a vehicle, forget about it, it isnt going to happen, instead you will lag around for a moment and be left completely open. Even when they arent in a vehicle, theres a good chance your 2 melee wombo combo will leave your enemy with a magic pixel of health left, rather than killing them off and if you know halo, you know 2 melee should always kill.

*The Campaign is a fun way to experience what is new to the franchise, but in terms of story, it felt like it came up very short and unfinished.

The game being free is going to be used as an excuse as for why it has as many issues as it does, but then I ask where is all the store sales going? What about the campaign sales? Most of these issues have been present from launch and if this was any other studio, i feel like they would have been fixed looong ago.
