Love this game, was an absolute pleasure to play it. The story was interesting, game play was fun, graphics are very beautiful and pretty, the achievements were quite easy to achieve. My only problem with this game is jumping, I don't land where I want to or get launched to the other end, or don't hold onto the ledges, the amount of times I've died for those reasons cannot be counted.

For the game modes;
Score Attack, was a hassle, it's just replaying all the chapters from the base game while trying to get a high score, took a bit time to complete and get gold medals.
Endurance mode, was not as enjoyable, still don't quite get what the purpose is of that mode.
Endurance coop, disconnection happens between the players, which is a pain when you try to survive for 10 days which takes well over an hour to complete. As always there are issues with coop when it comes to the Tomb Raider franchise. Also why is mic always open? Even in Tomb Raider. Now I'm paranoid if my coop teammate could hear me say weird things.
Cold Darkness, was quite fun to do, love the challenge in the towers where you have to listen to the instructions and make sure you do the correct thing.
Lara's Nightmare, spooky!
Blood Ties, I like how we get to learn more about Lara's father and what happened to him

Overall enjoyable game to get when it's on discount

This game wasn't what I expected it to be. I thought it would be a "simulator" type of game, or some sort of sandbox where I can freely build houses however I want. That's not the case, you pick a location, the house design is already planned, all you need to do is place the correct items and materials in their respective positions, and it magically gets built. Sometimes you need to order more materials but money was never an issue. There's a skill tree that immediately levels you up which awards you with achievements. Achievements wise, it was extremely easy to 100% this game.

Despite that, it's a fun and relaxing game, however if you're like me and suffer from motion sickness easily, this game is definitely not for you. It's a bummer that I can't continue to play the rest and build more houses because I cannot play for more than 20 minutes without feeling like I'm about to throw up. I needed to play this in short sessions, the head bob is awful and dreadful. Therefore I don't recommend this game.

A very fun, short and challenging game. It took some time to get into it and feel motivated to continue, but as you keep playing it started to get interesting and it didn't feel like a chore. The challenges are extremely fun to do and rewarding, game can be hard but it's not punishing when failing.

Many weapons and relics, artifacts, to collect. Various different enemies and puzzles.

The coop mode was surprisingly a lot more fun to play than single player, really fun and recommended to play with a friend.

This game is so cool, all the visual illusions and puzzles, the speeches from Dr. Glenn feels like I'm going through the therapy that I can't afford. It's so mind blowing and gives me goosebumps without fail, each time. I especially love the Labyrinth level, the intense music gives the feeling of having to rush through, everything is upside down, and again goosebumps. Very enjoyable game.

Very cute and fun game, reminds me of back in the days when I used to play pixelated games on my Game Boy SP.
Short, adventurous, fantasy-themed. Extreme mode was fun and challenging.

Best part is the beautiful soundtrack, I love it so much.

This is usually not the type of game I play. This is the most linear game I have ever played which usually is something I extremely dislike, but weirdly enough I really enjoyed this game.

In this game you can't jump, the only thing you can interact with is opening doors, climbing ladders, picking up a torch, listening to the stories from the rune stones. Literally can't do anything other than that. There are no items to collect, no nothing, just battles, jogging, and cut scenes. Everything I hate, all in one game. Yet I enjoyed this game.

I think it's the whole, sad, creepy, eerie, and dark ambient atmosphere, the music together with the norse theme, and the beautiful graphics. What impressed me the most was the unique binaural audio, the highlight of the whole game experience. The game being based on psychosis, all those whispering sounds gave me chills so many times. It felt like the voices were right behind me, whispering right next to my ears, it's hard to explain but it felt so real. It was a little annoying at first, I was wondering when it would stop, but it grew on me after a while. I can't imagine what it would be like for people who live with psychosis everyday. The voices were making fun of Senua, but also helping her during fights, then criticizing and belittling her, but also cheering for her. It sure was a roller coaster of feelings.

The illusions were so trippy, I had no idea what was going on but then I realized my eyes were being tricked. I liked the challenges, loved the fighting, even if I played on hard mode it was really easy to beat the game.
I wish there could be more to the game, the lack of interaction other than walking made the game feel empty. I hope the sequel will be greater. I wish you could skip the cut scenes. Many of them were really long especially if you want to re-play some chapters.

For 4 euro this sure was worth it.

-Spoilers ahead-

Overall an enjoyable game, but the joy sadly did not overpower everything else. First impression was that it's a walking and talking simulator game. Locations are too far from each other, annoying enemy NPCs in every street who also respawn quickly. Can't go get access to doors or pass a certain location until every enemy in that area is defeated.

Too many boring conversations with the characters/citizens, didn't grab my interest, not sure if I even liked any of them especially when most were pretty arrogant. I skipped them all because they don't bring any valuable information to the missions. The whole "hints" when talking to citizens was just awful, if you pick an answer that they don't like the hints get failed and you can't unlock it anymore. Same with some choices that you pick, they are very misleading, you think you picked a good choice, next thing you know the entire city is on fire. There should be a way to manually save so you can go back and regret the bad choices you made (there's a way to do it by locating the automatically saved files and save them before doing something, but not everyone know that)

Some boss fights were extremely easy, others not regardless if you have lots of xp or not. Story was a little messy, I couldn't tell if the main thing was about Jonathan's family, the epidemic, or the fact that vampires even exist, lore was poorly explained throughout the game. The romance felt forced. While the whole idea of a vampire doctor was cool and all the recipes of medicines and science etc, the hypocrisy of how he can kill people, then act like he's a hero to everyone and at the same time try to find a cure for the epidemic? made no sense to me (but ig that's the point of the whole game) Trying to get all achievements was a pain if you didn't want to spoil for yourself before starting like I did.

I felt no difference between playing on normal mode and hard mode.

pros:
- Enemy NPCs on the streets get stronger the more you progress in the game. I liked that a bit since it make the game more challenging, but if you want to be nice by not killing anyone, they will be 15 levels ahead of you and can kill you in 3 hits (which was dreadful in certain moments)
- You can reset the abilities you've learned, but there will be xp penalties.
- Amazing music.
- Amazing voice acting especially Jonathan Reid, voiced by Anthony Howell.
- The insults that come from the NPCs when they see you are very entertaining.
- Very good upgrades can be made for the weapons, big variety of weapons too.
- If you take your time, it's not a short gameplay which I see as a good thing. There are many things to do and places to go, however a mini-map would be great.

I didn't like it much but you might so if you really want this game get it when it's on sale.

Sadly this DLC was not fun. How is this supposed to be an extension to the main story when it's all about Aiden risking his life to save Ciro, Ogar, and fight Skullface that are so uninteresting and unimportant? This is in no way comparable to The Following of DL1. Story line extremely boring, quests extremely boring, new characters are boring, nothing cool that's extra is added (like the the buggy in The Following) apart from new clothes, new looking weapons. Challenges are extremely easy but that was still the only thing that was enjoyable since I already like the challenges in main game. Gameplay is like at most 10 hours. Should've had more added to the story, but I don't think any change or addition to this DLC will save it at all. It was really not motivating to play this, just wanted to get it over with to get the achievements.

TLDR: Very boring and short DLC, sadly not worth it.

I can't remember why I got this game or what made me want to get it. It was on sale that's all I remember. A year later I look through my library and decide to give it a go. While playing it I was shocked to see the mixed reviews. I absolutely recommend to get this game when it's on sale. I think the mixed reviews and the lack of achievements globally unlocked says about how people give up so early in game, which I'm not sure why. Could be that it's a difficult game which it's intended to be.

I'm very surprised about how hooked I got, for 1,5 weeks all I did was play this game or at least think about it. An indie game made by just one person or a small team is incredibly impressive. Graphics are nice and the scenery is beautiful, some things like the sound effects can sound a bit cheap, but it grew on me quickly. Story is intriguing if only the logs were placed in easier, not miss-able spots.

Game play was to begin with challenging. There's no sense of direction and you feel lost and have no idea what to do or where to go, which is the fun part. It makes you want to explore and find out what certain paths will lead you to. The enemies are straightforward after you play for a while and you learn their patterns. Every corner scared me and I had a few heart attacks and jump scares. It's eerie, intense, mysterious, and a very unique game.

It took a few hours to beat the game but to be honest, the ending challenge was difficult for me to beat I just wanted to get it over with and used the glitch ._. (sorry, I'm not good). And the New game+ is WAY too difficult and challenging, so I kinda just skipped to heaven and did the glitch again... If I had the patience and motivation I'm sure I could beat it properly, but I'd probably end up drained.

Overall, what a shame that it's not popular and doesn't have the recognition it deserves. It's a great game.

Playing through this game three times, I wouldn't be mad about playing it a fourth time. It has a good story and it's enjoyable to play it.

However, it lacks in many ways and I don't recommend it.

The few good points:
- Graphics are beautiful. The scenery, the colors, like candy to the eye.
- Story, the characters, voice actors and all that combined. It's a pleasant ride. Almost like a movie plot.
That's about it.

The bad points:
- Way too expensive for what it has to offer. From what I will mention below, if you really want this game then get it when it's on sale, because £39,99 ain't it.
- Gameplay and story is extremely linear. There's only one way of playing this game, and that's it. There's no freedom, no choices, everything is scripted to be played in one way. Once you reach a checkpoint, you can't go back if you for example forgot to pick up an item. And there's no way to get back to that item unless you replay the whole chapter which means you lose the progress you've done.
- The stealth is ridiculous ngl. My first thought was "what the hell is this" when I was apparently "sneaking" around. The characters are 10 centimeters away from the guards, whispering really loud, the steps when sneaking are loud enough but no, they hear nothing unless you stand right in front of their sight.
- Playing through the game will take about 10 hours, after that you're finished. Nothing else to do with this game, it has nothing else to offer. There are no difficulty levels. No way to affect the story, everything is already decided how it will turn out. You only either kill guards or sneak past them, but if you do kill them you waste resources which means you can't upgrade your equipment or sling if you don't pay attention to what you use. And you can't upgrade all of your stuff in one save, what's the point in that? You either fully upgrade the sling/equipment for the 2 achievements, or fully upgrade the alchemy which leaves the sling and equipment being half upgraded. You can still very much beat the game without the full upgrades so I'm not sure what the use of the upgrades are.

So in conclusion, uninstalling and never touching this game again will be the results.

I still like this game it was fun to play it, but I don't recommend it at it's full price.
