I nominated this as a meme since it's been out forever, but since the Steam release is from 2024, it's eligible for Game of the Year. It is a really good game, though. On Origin and WAY back in the day, the actual retail release on a CD, I've put probably more than a thousand hours on this game.

Wild time to feature this game on the store in Steam, right after removing support for Linux. Which means no Steam Deck, no Linux desktop users.

I know you know this already, but the vast majority of cheaters use Windows and Windows based applications to cheat. But this isn't about that, that's just your excuse. So hold this thumbs down until if and when you revert this choice.

It's one of those love hate games. Fun and relaxing until it isn't. Then it's stress and pain.

Then you finally get your stuff back and home, then start the cycle anew.

I don't think most people will get the reference, but since I do, I feel like I need to point it out. The main menu music is literally the Amazon Flex training video music. Bless Kojimbo for his brilliance.

If you played the original and are wondering if a remake could do it justice, it absolutely can and does. It's everything the original was, in a modern game engine, without losing any of the horror. I'm still early in, but it's AMAZING so far.

Side Note: If you played the original, I would 100% suggest you either get the deluxe edition, or buy the soundtrack/SFX swap separately. Your nostaligia will thank you.
