Easily the best HL2 mod I have ever played. They did a great job

The game in general just seemed highly unpolished. The enemy movement and gun-play felt especially janky.

A great game to play with friends

Great game, but it can be hard to get into unless you are familiar with similar games.

Lots of fun in Co-op. but the PC port makes rebinding the controls a bit of a pain. More so for the climbing, ect.

10/10, would commit unspeakable horrors again

Somehow managed to have a worse net code than the first game and many other things (level design, balance, animations, ect.) are also a downgrade from the first game. In general I can not recomend this game and would suggest buying one of the other, much better, games in the series.

• Some great animations, others... let's just say they fall under the negatives.
  
• Great main gamemode, both sides cycle between attacking and defending so neither team is at a disadvantage. Whoever has gained more ground by round over wins the match.

• Hit detection, gunplay can be very interesting and chalanging, then other rounds hit detection can just suddenly deteriorate to the point were the game can be just frustrating to play.
  
• Some animations are quite immersion breaking and some even hurt the gameplay. An example of this is people laying down on some kind of slope and just having their arms touching the ground with the rest of their body just floating level above the ground.
  
• Player lag, Lots of it. Even with a good ping and fps on both ends, many times players see eachother as bouncing around or in some cases teleporting. Not only is this immersion breaking but it also adds to the nightmare of hit detection. Don't get me wrong, on the rare match were the game doesn't lag, it's a great game. It's just that such matches are rare.
  
• A few pretty broken maps, while most are hard to gain ground on ( which makes sense being WW1), one or two are just a permanent stalemate with nothing of importance happening (also kind of like WW1, but with less suffering).
  
  
  Summary
  Overall this is one of those games where I honestly wish steam had a neutral or out of five reveiw rating system. This is a truely great game when it works and has a good concept (and is still a blast on a good match) but while it does many things great it also has some persistent and glaring flaws that have not been fixxed. And due to the approaching release of the dev's next game these flaws may never get fixxed (if all focus gets shifted to the newer release). Despite this I still think overall it is a fun game and I would highly recommend this game when on sale.
  
  Edit: Forgot to mention I have played this game a lot more than what shows on my steam account, mentioning this so the honest negative points of the review don't get written off or railed on as "newbish".

While I am normaly not into a game this text heavy I have to say this is one of the best games I have ever played. There is so much to do and the story is perfect. The combat also flows well once you get the hang of it and strikes a good balance between being chalanging but not gimmicky and/or impossible. Really the only small issue I had with the game is sometimes the loading screens can be a bit slow, but most don't take over 30 seconds though even on my oldest computer.

Great game overall, runs and plays well and doesn't seem too P2W despite being a free to play game. However, the one flaw I have noticed so far is the lack of unit variety within a upgrade tree. As you keep playing you notice by the time you get to tier 3 that all you units just upgrade into a better version of the old one, leading to you pretty much useing the same unit the whole time. However this will likely be fixxed as new units are added and the game is developed futher.
