I can’t recommend a game that can’t be ran in under 100 Hours
like OK I know I’ve wasted a lot more of my life on worst games and for one this game does actually teach you some time management (kinda?)

at first I hated the stats system because it was annoying to have to prioritise one stat to early mornings and evenings to level up but then I realised you get about a week or so to do it for the first time and their is some ways to make it more efficient like studying in the library is better at home because of the loud atmosphere in the school library
and sometimes you might have the option to sit down and read on the subway which means you should only read one chapter of a 2 chapter book so you can read the other one on the bus and not waste your time like reading at home would now this is all fine and dandy but the stats themselves are annoying
like ooh you little small back of chipolatas
you don’t look like you have the guts to drink a cup of green liquid from an unsanctioned emo doctor
come back after you’ve beaten the big bang impossible burger
which is impossible burger because it’s vegan

for me the most fun in P5 has been character interactions between the phantom thieves is pure uninterrupted conversation-

thou thou art provide thy with a new vou thou shout not skip via button til thou has spouted nothing of voute use to ny

the problem is the conversation are half the time treated as increasing your stats with this person when I want it to be about the interactions between Ann and Joker aka a 2 way choice menu

that’s the problem with Persona protagonist being practically a blank slate why would I care about this guys dates when you’re choices mean nothing and it’s all for a stat so woman persona’s will give you a second chance to catch them

that’s why when I get to see Ruyiji exchange glaces with Ann when being busted by the school council president I actually want him to win her over because they actually have something of a chemistry going on there.

mona is not the most annoying companion because he can tell you some useful stuff that’s very black and white but I digress

P5 defines a NPC as a blank slate which you can just walk straight through without any repercussion, a thing so throw away to the story that it ties no hit box worth implementing, now that’s deep…

this game taught me that’s it’s fun eavesdropping especially when it lacks realism I say about 1 pixel from this woman’s face who’s unbeknown to her, backbiting while being bitten on the back by the figure who she says to here friend they should avoid at all costs from now on

it has alot going for it the soundtrack, tone, transitions

I hate the inconsistency with voiced scenes and not voiced scenes also the art style is nice the art style of the anime cutscenes is also nice… I DON’t really want both… I know making a game look like a cartoon would be hard but Cuphead kind did that also every non anime scene is just 3 or so people standing with a backing track

my problem with the flashbacks integration

the fact you managed to stay up your bed time acting law must have meant you weren’t alone; it was your MJ style guardian who taught you how to make a latte wasn’t it!?!!?
