I really like the concept of this idle game. The rarity modifiers to towers is a refreshing change of pace and helps mitigate some of the issues with constantly gaining currency.

Having said that, 1 hour of playtime was pretty much enough to see everything the game appears to have on offer. 4 tower types, fairly simple rebirth passive tree and no more unlockable features (that the achievement list would suggest).

I can't really knock it at 5 bucks, but its hard to recommend for anyone looking for an idle game with a lot to do/unlock.

The issues identified related to performance are no longer an issue with the recent addition of DLSS support.

I've seen numerous reviews that put this at around 7/10 and I am inclined to agree.

Starfield certainly isn't a bad game but there are a few issues I've observed thus far (5hrs at the time of review) that make the experience a bit of a letdown.

1: Scope. The scope of this game is enormous and its pretty easy to feel overwhelmed by everything. The controls on Keyboard are a little strange, the environments are very dense (tons of decorations) which can make navigating areas tricky, the cities (at least the first couple) are large and have a decent amount of vertical design that can make navigation difficult.
2: Aesthetic design. There is a washed out look to the game that appears to be associated with making the experience cinematic but it makes the world(s) feel flat and compounds the navigational difficulty already mentioned.
3: AI highs and lows. Enemies tend to hide behind cover and do behave somewhat realistically some times, but they will also not engage with the player or ignore the player completely while their buddies are fighting right next to them.

I feel like they could have backed off significantly when it comes to environmental density and cinematic effects to make the game perform a bit better.

There are some great things about the game though.

1: Space combat is fun
2: Ground combat is fun
3: Leveling system is enjoyable (emphasis falls onto things you regularly do a bit better than other games in this genre)
4: Being able to fulfill ground and space missions is a very uncommon thing. Starfield does it well. Docking with ships to take out enemies from within is a joy.
5: Starship customization is very well implemented
6: Building outposts is fun

I do recommend this game but with a major caveat. My rig isn't the most high end in the world but Starfield runs at around 30fps at medium settings 1080p (I do not play 1440p so the resolution isn't problematic for me). It is certainly playable but the density of environmental decorations and the general look/scope of the game can make 30fps feel weird.

For reference my rig looks like this:
CPU: I9-9900k
RAM: 32gb
GPU: RTX 2070 Super
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO

As a long time player of Pinball FX2 and Pinball FX3 (with all tables purchased across multiple consoles) I have enjoyed this series quite a bit. This entry is a nice step forward in some respects and a step back in others.

Pros:
Tables play great, for the most part. The ball physics are solid and for the most part they feel better than FX3 (I also liked the physics of FX3).
Better rewards for playing your tables (FX3 had basic "you did X" type awards) in the decorations
Better event progression system

Cons:
UI could be improved
No visible local leaderboards for table high scores (game tells you your local rank and lets you enter your name but doesn't show these scores anywhere AFAIK)
No more wizard score
No more progressive unlocks with arcade mode (FX3 let you unlock passive upgrades that you could use to boost your score. These are just freely available in this game)
Some of my favorite tables are currently missing

Ultimately this game is worth picking up if you like Pinball. I would have liked not being asked to purchase the tables for a 4th time but this is a solid game and definitely worth it if you haven't invested in the older games.

I've only played for about 15 minutes but I'm initially put off by this game. It feels pretty unpolished and the control system is awkward. Having to manually pull the gas tank out of your storage, manually drag it to the fuel depot to refill it and then take it to the ship to refill the ship is enough to put me off playing this much more. Such a strange decision doesn't give me a good impression of whats to come. Especially since the game has had me drag boxes around 3 times within 15 minutes.

There's a cool little game here based on the videos, but my initial impressions are not good.

I will update my review once I get farther into the game but my initial impression is: Don't buy at full price. Maybe get it on sale.

I've played this for only around half an hour and I doubt I'll go back to it anytime soon. This thing is rough around the edges. Heck, it is rough all the way through.

Pros:
Great art for the girls
Creative girls
Decent music

Cons:
Terrible controls
H-Scenes I've seen thus far (which is admittedly not many) have been very basic window-in-window type things with simple repeating animation and a very short "finish"
Font is ugly
The openness of the game is a detriment when the game systems don't feel cohesive
Map design is very bad. Looks and feels like the rpg-maker game it is.

With a proper game engine and some major design improvements the awesome artwork could be used in a much better game. I bought this simply because the character artwork is very creative. Unfortunately the game itself is really bad.... Would definitely not recommend this to anyone outside of picking it up 90% off.

Bought this on impulse based on the great reviews. It absolutely is not for me.

I seem to forget that these super-complex sim games just aren't interesting to me... But! Having said that it is also very evident that this game has layer upon layer of systems built into it. There's an absolutely mind-bottling number of settings, configs, and variables in-game that seem very well designed.

If you're not into this type of game I think this is one that may be pretty overwhelming, but if you like colony sims there's a huge amount to love about Dwarf Fortress. The music is nice, the graphics are nice and it seems to work the way it should, so I can't in all good conscience leave a "don't recommend". It is definitely a well made game.

As a old fan of the show I thought I'd pick this up to see how it is. From the videos and reviews I thought it would be pretty cool.

Played it for all of about 20 minutes before stopping. While this might be a good game what I saw in those 20 minutes was really annoying.

1: Booting up the game I saw something like 30 text pop-ups about stuff I had "unlocked" that meant absolutely nothing to me because I haven't even played the game yet.
2: The tutorial fight was okay albeit somewhat simple.
3: The movement in the open-world area sucks bigtime. This game feels like something from the late 90s or early 00s. Really stiff jumping, very clunky.
4: Open world zone immediately presented an annoying "escort the slow npc" thing which served absolutely no purpose but to slow the game which was really annoying considering how janky+fast the movement is in this area
5: The fishing thing with the random quick time events was annoying. Not hard but annoying. At this point I am just skipping all the dialogue because up until now 90% of the gameplay has been "read this text box" or "listen to these characters be annoying"
6: The little emblem thing was the last straw. "Put it NEXT to Goku" was being shown to me but no matter where I clicked it just wouldn't do anything but repeat this message. Finally it worked after clicking the exact spot it wanted me to put it despite me having clicked that area multiple times. Maybe this is a controller issue I dunno but it was really stupid.

Anyway...
I'm presently pretty frustrated by this game and quite disappointed. It looks super cool from the videos and screenshots but it feels like a game that would have come out 20 years ago. It is clunky, annoying and vapid.

I will be giving it some more time this weekend but my initial feelings aren't good. At present I wouldn't recommend this to anyone but the hardcore DBZ fan and/or people who may not notice/care about the really clunky gameplay.

I love Mega Man X.
This game is horrible. It is an insult to the series and Capcom should be ashamed of it.

The only pro is the fan-service. Lots of characters to unlock.

The negatives include predatory gacha mechanics, terrible graphics, ugly mobile UI, REALLY annoying voices... Honestly this is the worst game I've played this year. It sucks. A lot.

I was on the fence about purchasing this because the gameplay looked a little confusing but picked it up on sale. I'm really glad I did because this is a great game. The idle component mixed with the planning/strategic component makes it more compelling than any other idler I've played.

On top of great gameplay mechanics the artwork is also really well done. For such small pixel art there is great detail, and a strong, dark aesthetic that has a certain Lovecraft-vibe to it. The UI is well constructed and easy to understand, and the gameplay "loop" opens up quite a bit as you progress.

My only gripe with this game is at some point it ends.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a pretty awesome game. The story isn't phenomenal but the combat is excellent. Enemies are difficult but not so over the top that they're hard-to-be-hard. The player has enough tools at their disposal to approach many fights in multiple ways. You can attack at range, up close, target elemental weaknesses, use spells, climb onto enemies, grab and toss enemies off cliffs, and command followers to fill many of these roles while you're doing something different.

There is a strategy involved with Dragon's Dogma that really doesn't exist in many other games. Your Pawn develops a personality based on how you play the game and when done right can be really helpful.

The art style of this game is excellent and even today in 2022 I think it holds up well.

Dragon's Dogma 2 was just announced and before it gets released you should absolutely play this if you haven't already. In my opinion this is a must-play title.
