tl;dr: The gameplay is solid. The UX,Eng translations, and lack of control remapping? Not so much.

A Fighting Gamer's Perspective:

For context, I like playing fighting games but find the mainstream ones to have too high of a skill floor to have fun with them. I'm not wholly dedicated to them but still enjoy playing matches on occasion. Blasphemy I know.

Impressions:

Gado Fight , from the very short time I've played it, seems like an ambitious fighting game. Since it's a port of a mobile game it has rather simplified base mechanics, with the depth that fgc heads will like. You can look up combo videos and see for yourself. If you like BFTG, or Metal Revolution, you'll like Gado Fight.

As this is a mobile game port, I was afraid that we'd get mobile styled monetization, however this isn't entirely true. The game does have microtransactions but they are for cosmetics as far as I've seen. All the characters are available from the start, as they should be. This is a model I'm surprised no other fighting game has really adopted.

Issues:

There are 3 main problems I have with this game. The first is it's mobile UX. Its just not good. It hasn't been optimized to be fully navigated with controller or keyboard alone, and will force you to use the mouse for some parts. For me , this is manageable, but it can be annoying for others.

The second issue is the English translation. Again, it's not that big of a deal for me, its clear the devs just used google translate or something. It can be confusing a little but if you've ever played a non English game before you'll manage.

This last issue however, is one that I can't ignore. As far as I've seen, you cant change the button layout on either keyboard or controller. Personally this is a deal breaker for me as the base controls aren't the most intuitave (eg. jump is triangle/Y)

I want this to succeed, so that's why I'll leave the positive recommendation, but it's clear the devs need to put some polish on this port.

(Also this is my first review, so let me know if it was good enough)
