UPDATE 2: Another victory for Democracy! The dissidents of Sony have successfully been pushed back, and the undemocratic change making connecting a PSN account has been canceled. Excellent work, Helldivers! Original update has been rescinded as promised. Remain vigilant, however; another attempt at this treasonous act may yet rear its ugly face once again.

UPDATE 1: This update has been rescinded

Original review: Check your mouths, find your chairs, and get set for a combat drop. With a good group of friends, this has to be the most fun I've had in a hot minute, especially in a PvE environment with friendly fire enabled for both sides. Just make sure not to shoot your buddies... or do, I'm not your mom. And it's honestly kinda funny to rag doll your teammates, or get rag dolled by them

Honestly? I don't know whether to recommend this or not.

The game is fun... when it works. And don't get me started on the amount of actual IRL cold hard cash you have to shell out just to be able to actually play the game. But when it works, if you can ignore the fact that you have to pay to be able to access 75% of the game, it is absolutely fun to just chill out, cast space magic, and sling lead at aliens.

Seriously, though... Bungie, chill out on the paywalls. You can't even complete the New Light experience without forking over dollars to get a dungeon key. There's something fundamentally wrong with a game if the bona fide tutorial cannot be completed on just the base cost of the game alone.

Fun little game. Feels like the old games we all used to play... you know the ones. Can't recommend enough

Little bit of constructive feedback, though: the controls are a bit finicky, which makes micromanaging your rock a wee bit difficult, especially when you're in between a block that's gonna bounce you away from it harder than Tigger (the Winnie-the-Pooh character... what did you think I meant, Steam?) bounces off everything in sight, and the core that's gonna one-shot you if you touch it, so you're relying on missiles/grenades/lasers to destroy it. Would love to see a slight tweak that tightens that up a bit :)

It's a cute little game. Not much in the way of playtime, though. 100%'d in just under 2 hours.

Would love to see some post-release content for this game, to help flesh out the game a little more and provide some replayability

2 words: Mick Gordon.

Doesn't matter what you do in the game that comes with the soundtrack... Mick's work SLAPS. Hard to believe that those are chainsaws, and not guitars...

I'ma be brutally honest... campaign's not worth $60. Whole game's nor even worth that. Too many key features that are integral to the franchise aren't there. If you can get it for $40 or less until everything that should've been there at launch is added, then go for it. Otherwise... I strongly recommend holding out a bit longer

As a life-long Halo fan, MCC coming to PC was a dream come true for me. No longer does my desire to continue playing Halo clash with my desire to transition to gaming primarily on PC. Was also super grateful that all my progress on the Xbox version of MCC transferred over to Steam, as that would've been a few thousand hours of progress that I would've had to redo. That being said, the nostalgia is real, and it's been amazing reliving some old memories

Easy to learn, hard to master. Normally pretty fun to play, especially once you find someone to squad up with. Only problem I've had so far is a networking error that started running rampant with the beginning of Operation Grim Sky, but once the devs finish figuring out how to fix it once again (insert that one clip from the Operation Health interview here) Rainbow Six should go back to being the same fun game that it used to be
