As a long time DJMax player/fan, this was very disappointing.

As some other reviews mentioned, the charting is just really bad and not fun for many songs on this one. I've been playing since the original DJMax on PSP and every one since (making the switch to kb from Respect V) including literally every single other Respect V DLC, and the charting has never been this bad. It's a bit mindboggling.

I sincerely hope they do better going forward.

This is an exceptionally good game that lives up to the hype. It's a lot of fun and well designed with great aesthetic and even better music. It captures the fun of speedrunning so well and makes it very accessible.

Early Access Review
This is actually a godlike game.

I almost never jump on early access games especially so early on, but this was already beyond worth it. Be aware that this is really an early access game with hopefully a lot more to come. With two parts out now, my casual playthrough took a hair under two hours, and at the end of it I needed more badly.

This was already one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a good while, let alone one of the best 'castlevania' games. Needless to say if you enjoy those types of games, this is definitely for you. It controls really well and all the mechanics based around the dual 'ikaruga' styles are very well done. The art and animations are also very beautiful and just right.

The only criticism it may have is that (so far) it is a relatively 'easy' game, but I think the design philosophy is about giving the player a lot of freedom and power to use in the way the player wants to which made it even more enjoyable in my opinion. I do hope it builds on this, however, and later content will get more challenging as well.

I very rarely even bother writing reviews like this, but I so thoroughly enjoyed the all too brief time I spent on this early access game that I felt the need to spread the word even just a little bit. I hope many more people enjoy this and look forward to the game's completion!

CS:GO Review
It's CS. What else needs to be said. The only thing better might be SC.

Also for internet points. It's pubg. Broken. Still best by default? I don't know.

A great, great game. Edelweiss doesn't disappoint again. Easily one of my favorite shmups although fans of more hardcore 'bullet hells' might find it a bit easy/forgiving. Haven't tried on the hardest difficulty yet so maybe that changes this. Really fun combat system and the changing perspectives (similar to Ethor Vapor) are done very well to make the beautiful and cinematic stages even more so. Only gripe people may have is the brevity of the game, though it's understandable as a doujin game that follows in the style of classic arcade shmups. Lots of replay value, though as it goes with these types of games, and I certainly look forward to picking this up whenever the mood hits to play it again.

a surprisingly good game. was always a fan of suda51 but kind of from a distance, sad to say never got to the point of actually playing many of his games. but this makes me realize the errors of my ways.

in many ways, this is the kind of game I want. It challenges me the right way, it rewards me the right way.

some flaws of course but overall what an enjoyable experience. theres many games with this general scheme of action combat but this gets the pace just right. the timing of each attack/counter sets it apart from the countless other games with a similar setup. really one of the few games that made me retry a ton just to get it perfect because it matters. people may be turned off by the girls part but this is just a game made for a pretty specific demographic. its all icing on the cake for some great combat and its just over the top enough for each part that its perfect. highly enjoyable, check it out
