I didn't know a thing about STO until a few weeks ago, but somehow my afternoon quick look into this game turned out to last well over a hundred hours. And it took that long just to play through the single player story arcs. Thanks to the narrative focus of the TV episode length missions, the game avoids most MMO pitfalls quite nicely. All the actors from the various Trek shows reprising their roles blew my mind. Even when a mission got "Treshold" bad, there was always a familiar voice to trick my brain into thinking it wasn't really that dreadful.
