Hey hey, we got another curator connect review comin' at ya, so grab a cup of cocoa and get ready for some cozy gaming! Today we're joined by none other than Colonel Kurtz to get into the holiday spirit by playing some Suddenly Meow Christmas!

First of all, this game is overflowing with cute. Kitty cats, candy canes, Christmas tree by the fire. How did the overall theme strike you colonel?

I’ve seen horrors… horrors that you’ve seen.

Ok, not a cutesy kind of guy, I get it. The match three levels are fun though, guide the kitty cats to the gifts. That's about as wholesome as it gets.

And I remember… I… I… I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn’t know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget.

The holidays do that to some people I guess. At least the mini games are a nice touch, right? A bit of hidden object, some sliding puzzles. Something for everyone in there!

Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not then they are enemies to be feared.

Uhh, I think we're about out of time. I appreciate you stopping by colonel, and tune in next time folks, for another super cozy casual family game! This is Otter, signing out!

You’re an errand boy, sent by grocery clerks, to collect a bill.

Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 3 is the sixth of these now, and if I copied and pasted my review of one of the other games, it would work just fine. About the only thing new I can say is that it felt easier this time, or maybe I'm just used to the pattern they all follow.

To do anything, you need items. A sword is an item, a potion is an item, but so is your health, and your fame. Every action checks to see if you have the appropriate items, and if not, well it's back to town with you. Go get that hay so the cow can give you milk so the farmer can make you cheese so you can catch the mouse you need to lure out the cat that has the key on it's collar that opens the chest that has the map that leads to the cave where you pass out from exhaustion. That's ok though. Just eat a dozen eggs and get back to it.

Eventually you give/gather/build/break/kill all of the things, and save the day. For now. Because if we can look at the past to predict the future, the kingdom will need saving again in about two years. I look forward to it, and next time I'm bringing my own sickle. The ones they sell here are junk.

Unceremoniously "landing" on a barren, hostile planet, we found ourselves facing the task of turning this lifeless rock into a lush, vibrant, verdant, green, emerald kingdom, full of floras and faunas, with everything from the humble moss, to advanced animal life such as the Munchkin. It was a bleak and depressing thought, that only the two of us, KIra, the biologist, and myself, Otter, the warehouse manager, could ever hope to achieve such lofty goals. But we had to try. There was nothing else to do...

We stood on the hill looking down at our base, evaluating our progress.

Look! The ice is starting to melt, and there is water on the ground!"
It's really pooling up in the valley.
At this rate our base will be at the bottom of a lake.
Does look that way....

We headed north from our base on the hill in search of materials, and stumbled upon, or more accurately, fell into, a large cave full of wrecked spacecraft and glittering minerals.

Well my backpack is full, and I need to head back.
Same here. Have you seen the exit?
No, but we should really look for it. I don't have any food left.
I've gone the whole way around and don't see a way out.
Maybe we shouldn't have come here yet.
Maybe not...

We headed south from our base on the hill in search of materials, and stumbled into a dust storm so severe you couldn't see your nose in front of your face.

Watch it, there are rocks flying around in the air as well!
Ow! They do a good bit of damage too.
We better head back.
Yeah, we...

Our jetpacks lifted us into the air over our base on the hill. The lake below glistened under a sunny blue sky, and the green hills stretched off into the distance.

It's beautiful out here.
It sure is.
You know, I think it's going to be ok.
You know, I think you're right.

Suika games are played with a box and some balls. Whatever type of box, whatever the balls represent, doesn't matter really. You've got small balls, big balls, and everything in between. Many balls.

One by one, you drop your balls into the box, and when balls of the same size are touching, something magical happens. They merge into one bigger ball. All you need to do is make sure you keep touching the right balls without letting the box overflow. That's when you lose.

Pretty simple, but since you have no control over the size of your balls, it gets tricky trying to keep your big balls together without getting ball blocked by random smaller ones. You have to drop all of your balls, too. There is no skipping any, so ball placement is key.

It can get hard, but on my first attempt, I managed to keep it up for about half an hour before my balls were overflowing. Not bad for a beginner, I suppose.

So if you're looking for some wholesome, family-friendly fun, CatMelon - Suika Game has you covered. In balls.

Cats pots, not to be confused with despots, which are, well, you'll see, but anyway. The cat pots have all been shattered, and not just the pots! Some hooligan has destroyed all of the mugs, bowls, kettles, teacups, plates, bongs, jeweled codpieces, and much more! Disgusting.

Well, it's up to you now. Your task is putting this crap all back together again. Don't worry, it starts out very simple, with things being broken into only three pieces, and you'll be thinking, well this is easy. But beyond easy mode is medium mode, and even on to hard mode, ala mode, and depeche mode. By the end there will be so many tiny pieces of glass on screen, you'll think you're at the beach.

I may be exaggerating a bit, because I do, but things do get more interesting, so just plow through the easy mode to unlock the more challenging modes.

I find Magic Cats Pots to be a fairly easy casual puzzle game for those lazy Saturday afternoons, sitting on the porch with a lemonade, listening to the birds chirp, and the shrieks of children as the giant wolves come out of the woods to devour them.

Good times.

I can't believe this!

SherloCAT Holmes Nonogram is a nonogram game, but not a cat game. Sure, there is a picture of a cat and it has cat in the title, but make no mistake, this isn't about cats, this is a puzzle game. It doesn't really matter if every puzzle was a picture of Peter Lorre making out with Marty Feldman, the journey is more important than the destination.

So what makes a nonogram journey good, and does this game do it? Any nonogram veteran will tell you there are "must have" features, that may vary from person to person, but include things like mouse support, auto-fill, straight line locking, exfoliating gel, and so on.

Sherlo does pretty well on those fronts, but if you like using X as a temporary marker, or as a measuring tool (this game shows how many boxes your line is btw) then you might want to use classic mode, because by default, any wrong mark counts as one of three strikes, after which you get to start the puzzle over.

This is not a happy thing for those of us with poor vision when doing large puzzles. A misclick is far too easy, but like I said, classic mode does fix that, but it also takes the autofill away, so choose wisely.

There are so, so many nonogram games on Steam, and if you're a fan of them, this here will be a reasonable thing to add to your collection. There are no surprises or innovations here, just some good old-fashioned puzzles to while away the time, because time is infinite, and we will be here forever, or until a giant asteroid hits the earth next week, whichever comes first.

Have a happy National Fluffernutter Day.

Just when I thought that there would never be another solitaire game on Steam, what would the Curator Spatula Of Fate slide under my door? You're not going to believe this, but it's a solitaire game! Sweet.

It just so happens that I recently got a really good deal on a collaborative AI, and though it was designed for monster truck shows, I think it can still help me write, and really speed up the process, so let's give it a spin!

Solitaire Quest: Love Blossoms is very much in the style of the Jewel Match solitaires. 200 LEVELS OF PURE SOLITAIRE MAYHEM!!

No problem, no problem. Bit of a learning curve with the AI. Cutting edge tech, and all that. I guess it's the future.

Your aunt THREE TONS OF STEEL LIVING FOR MAYHEM AND OBLIVION!!

...your aunt invites you to work at her flower shop, which means playing solitaire for tokens, and using the tokens to furnish the flower shop. You have your usual high/low solitaire with barriers like ice, vines, and locks, much as you are likely used to. Power ups are available, but though they are cheap, they are also single use. LIKE YOUR MOTHER!!

Gonna tinker with these settings here...
ok? hmm. how about now...

Long ago, in a time all but forgotten except for being remembered, lived a woman. On a small tropical island surrounded by various types of water, she started a flower shop in order to get people to play solitaire.

Many answered the call, only to find that it was about their extended vehicle warranty. Others however, played the solitaire. Played it and found it good. It is these people who we keep in our hearts, our clubs, and even our diamonds...
whom we keep? Whome, hoom whoom? Whatever.

Anyway. Solitaire Quest: Love Blossoms is a perfectly fine solitaire game to add to the no doubt big-ass pile you have if you're a solitaire player. If you're not, why not start a pile. Besides, these devs are Ukrainian, and boy could they use a break these days.

Banana has a bunch of reviews, but I can't help but notice what people are NOT talking about, and that is the secret message hidden in the game.

Banana. Ba Na Na. Barium Sodium Sodium.

The atomic weight of barium is 56. Sodium is 23.

56+23+23=102

What element would that be? Nobelium. No.

That's right, the game says no. But no what?

Well guess what? ²⁵⁵No, the most common form of Nobelium, has a half-life of three minutes. Half-Life 3.

No Half-Life 3.

Now you know.
