this was genuinely the most unsettling game i have ever played, bar none. i havnt felt so out of place as i did while traversing the halls of this world. 11/10

Zomboid is absolutely one of the most in-depth, feature rich, and realistic survival game I have ever had the pleasure of playing. If that sounds fun, I have something IMPORTANT that you need to know.

Many will call this game extremely difficult; however, this isn't entirely true. Almost every aspect of the game is customizable inside the vanilla game and nearly everything else can be changed with mods, of which there are many.

Finally, mods are one of the most amazing aspects of this game. I have RARELY encountered major issues when combining many mods into a save, several of which havn't been updated in years.

If you disliked the previous version of this game, I highly recommend giving it another chance. The entire game has been essentially overhauled in recent updates and has changed the experience massively.

10/10 - Better than I ever could have asked out of a 20 dollar early access game.

As we pass the eighth year since the release of GTA V, I've started my seventh or so playthrough of the single player story mode to construct a retrospective of my experience with this game and shape it into a conclusive review of the game's single player story.

I won't be saying very much at all about GTA Online in this review for two main reasons. Firstly, I have a very limited experience with GTA Online due to my younger self thinking it was a great idea to cheat in money which promptly got me a permanent ban. Secondly, I feel that GTA V's online component is a vastly different game than the story and it would unfair to both of them to treat them as one in the same.

I first played GTA V shortly after it was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3. At the time I was, as to be expected, an extremely excited kid when I found the game amidst my Christmas gifts. I'm confident that I've never been more hyped for a game's release in my life than I was for GTA V. I remember seeing a Walmart display dedicated to showcasing the game with the trailer looping on a pretty big display.
For the next two years or so I would have easily named the game as my favorite had you asked. Over time I stopped praising the game so highly but never truly changed my opinion on it.

My recent playthrough has allowed me to reflect on the flaws, and validate what I had felt were strong points. I very quickly confirmed a few things: the story is still great and stands among my favorites of any game I've played, the large majority of story missions easily keep you engaged in the plot even during combat intensive portions, and despite being eight years old still looks great and runs very well.
As for flaws, there are occasional missions that can really test the player's patience, aside from actual missions you can easily get the feeling that there should be more for you to do while free roaming (the multiple heist missions are really the only way to make worthwhile money), and various small things that make me wonder why something was done the way it was over obvious other options.

To keep my already wordy review from becoming a novel, I'll put the meat and potatoes into a brief summary.

The story is pretty good if not great, combat/gunplay is simple and smooth, driving can be a bit rough but is largely a non-issue, and the overall immersion and design of the world is high quality and allows for exploring to be genuinely fun on your first playthrough.

If you've never played GTA V I cannot recommend it enough. It's a great experience and for me stands as a huge piece of history in video gaming.

When I stumbled upon Unpacking on the steam store I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy it. I was pleasantly surprised.

Without saying too much, it tells a story in an amazingly subtle way which allows for the player to fully ignore it should they want to. It's a great game to sit down and relax, given that you find organizing relaxing.

One of the only things I found that I disliked about the game was that (to my knowledge) there is not a key that allows for easy room switching and forces the use of the mouse. For most people I'd say this won't be an issue, but as someone who uses fairly low DPI and has a non-ideal setup for ergonomics, I found it a bit straining to move to the sides of the display to switch rooms. Especially if I happened to be switching rooms fairly quickly and moving back and forth.

To give it a bit of nit picking, I do wish that you were allowed to fully reorganize rooms instead of having to squeeze your new items in with pre-existing ones. This would be cool as a toggleable option in a future update. (Assuming that any plans exist for expanding the game)

TLDR

Unpacking is a relaxing experience that subtly tells a story, allowing the player to ignore said story if they prefer. With a few hours or so of content, it'll be a worthy purchase if this kind of game is something you enjoy.

If you enjoy games that allow you to mindlessly play about for a few hours at a time, then I certainly reccomend this game at least in its current state. There are tons of random tools to muck about with and a semi-interesting story line that plays out. In only two or three days after I bought it I racked up nearly 20 hours. As depressing as that is, it's a testament to how truly entertaining it was to play.

came for the gay furry sex. i got what i was looking for. however sexing your defense attorney seems like a conflict of interest.

5 months after my initial review, my recommendation of this game has only been solidified by the updates that have been released up to this point in time. New levels have been genuinely interesting and creatively designed, cosmetic items allow for customization if you desire, and the most recent update has added multiplayer alongside even more content, including a new washer.
Despite being labelled as a beta, I have yet to encounter any serious issues with the multiplayer and if you've got some friends who share the same taste for this kind of game I'm confident you would find lots of fun in this new update.

With even more confidence than before, I recommend this game. Although early access, power wash sim breaks the precedent that many early access titles have set with regards to the level of care and attention that goes into new updates.
