✘ SO, WHAT ARE THE POSITIVES?

+ A very diverse playable roster, there's guaranteed to be a Warframe and playstyle for everyone.
+ Fast, agile, and smooth movement mechanics that's easy to get into, but harder to truly master.
+ Gorgeous character design, many unique NPCs with memorable dialogue.
+ Incredible worldbuilding with enviroments that look and feel good.
+ Can easily remap controls if needed (I play on KB+M).
+ Many things to do and several goals you can set for yourself, like clearing every planet, relic farming, catching every animal in the open world areas, or making the ultimate fashion frames.
+ Tons of unique weapons and builds possible, very satisfying gunplay that makes you feel powerful.
+ I personally find the collecting aspect (weapons, animal conservation, fishing, etc.) very fun.
+ Very addictive and solid core gameplay.
+ It's free!


✘ HOW ABOUT THE NEGATIVES?

- Microtransactions are bothersome as someone with spending issues. The game likes to remind you that you can spend platinum, this game's premium currency. There are no lootboxes, but plenty of "hey, you could skip the three-day wait for this Warframe with only a bit of your platinum!"
- Overwhelming content, hard for new players to get into with a ton of info at once.
- An absolutely HUGE time sink, doesn't respect the player's time very well at all.
- Story can be very confusing and hard to keep up with, I've had to read up on it many, many times.
- Balancing issues with several things in need of a rework.
- Often feels like a chore to play later in the game.
- A massive part of the game is grinding and farming, so if you don't like long grinds this is not the game for you. I enjoy grindy games where I can turn my brain off and watch something on the side while playing, but even then, it gets draining after a point.
- Some annoying bugs.

All in all? I really wish there was a "It's Complicated" option on whether I recommend Warframe or not, though I'm definitely leaning more positively than negatively. It's a game I've sunk a lot of time into and a game I've followed for years and obviously enjoy, but it has some very glaring flaws and frustrating elements that can be difficult to manage.
