For future me's reference this is because i picked up somebody's key and escaped the map with it after killer closed it lmao
I know next time I upgrade though (my GPU is my bottleneck) I'll probably go with a -60 or -70 version. The -50 line is great for budget but honestly just not worth it to me after a couple years.
Spoiler: the 770 (the minimum spec card) also debuted with 2gb and 4gb variants.
This is exactly the kind of thing that the media is supposed to take companies to task for in order to pressure them to do something, because they have the power that Randos like you and I don't have.
Touching textures or resolutions made it go up to about 3GB though.
I will never pay for a game that refuses to let me operate it on my own terms.
To be more specific - if you're curious - I wanted to exceed my VRAM limitation. Instead of LETTING ME like any other game (including GTAV!) would, the game locks you out of applying any settings that it predicts will exceed this requirement. So, if I wanted to play in 1920x1080 I simply cannot. The game will not let me and you cannot change that value outside of the game.
I would never pay more than $5 for garbage like that. The always-online single-player is enough to make it a bargain-bin purchase on its own.
AND YOU'LL NEVER GO HUNGRY AGAIN
